that Pitt is gonna be a 3 point dog to the Pats next weekend (at least according to the lines this week). You have got to be kidding me. This just shows how people remember the present and not the past. . . meaning the entire season has been forgotten and the last game that both teams played is all that counts. Complete BS!

The Pats won the game in a grind it out style against the Colts because of the field conditions IMO. Play that game in INDY and the Colts would have rolled. Now you're going up against the team with the best defense in the NFL at home and giving them 3 points? Worst of all, the public so far is taking the bait! I see 70% on the Pats gladly handing over 3 points. LOL, I'll be happy to take the Steelers along with Vegas. But I even see more value:

This total is at least 4 points too high. Factor in there might be a snowstorm and we have a game like the Pats played today. The team that runs the ball most effectively will come up with the win, not the team that takes chances going to the air against the quality defenses.

Therefore, my huge play:

7 point teaser: Pitt +10 & under 44

I Agree, but the problem is I see Corey Dillon being the one who gets the best of the 2 running backs (between Dillon and Bettis/Staley)...This guy is a stud, he proved himself to me again today again for a long time since his then single game rushing record performance, this guy can MOVE...I like the play though, 10 is plenty in this type of game, only thing that scares me is Bellichik's game plan for a rookie QB, you know Ben is going to be thinking about how Bill is going to be planning a snowstorm of his own for him...cant wait for this one, even to jsut watch

OK a take on the line I read from another site which makes sense to me..........If the Steelers were made a 3 point favorite people would pound NE, but with them being 3pt dogs at home they will get money on the steelers too being home dogs......makes sense I just don't see Ben and Cowher being able to do much against this Veteran team but what do I know I liked indy today

i think it will go up as joe public loves the way n.e. played today. But my experience tells me by game time a spread of 3- might be available and i WILL BE ON PITT.

So Cal
IMO had Cory Dillon played in the reg season game vs Pitt
the outcome would had been a W for the Pats.

I love NE-3
The fact is these guys don't lose in the Playoffs.
IMO the experience factor is worth -3 all by it self.

Pats win & cover 17-6

I would never put money on a team that by all rights should have lost to the Jets not once but Twice! It's a whole different animal come playoff time and Ben showed his rookie mistakes againt NY, can't wait to see what Belichick does to him. Pats will have Dillon and Branch this time and does anyone even remember that 3 of Pittsburghs TDs came on an INT return and two fumbles that set the Steeelrs up inside the Pats 25 yards line when they played earlier this year?

All the planets were aligned for Pitt that game. This game will be completely different.

Kinda hard to think that Big Ben could go to the Super Bowl as a rookie QB. When was the last time that happened ?

Couldn't agree more.My take on the total is the same as yours, too, under 30.(Patsjamm,see my comments in the Flecther thread, and quit fanning it up just because people are trying to handicap a football game and they aren't picking your team. What you are doing is in essence rooting for your team in a handicapping thread.Yeesh.)Good luck Nickleback!

Edludes, why don't YOU see MY comments in Fletchers thread. I added my thoughts on the game just like everyone else here did and I never attacked anyone or flamed another poster (like YOU have done). Others here have disagreed with the original post but you attack me because I have a Patriot avatar. What, you afraid of everyone else here who put up posts disagreeing with the author?

Grow up pal. Your insignificant hissy-fits don't impress me. You might get a better reaction by kicking your dog.

The only one who's opinion really matters here is Jacks and he is the only one who will give the orders, NOT you. I'm sure if he were to follow what's been going on he will notice that you have attacked me twice now for doing nothing more than giving my opinion on Pittsburgh and for asking Fletcher how he felt about the game.

Now Roethlisberger will try to become the first rookie QB to lead his team to the Super Bowl -- the Steelers will host the AFC title game for the fifth time in 11 seasons. They have won their last seven wild-card or divisional home playoff games, but are 1-3 in AFC Championship games under Cowher, losing to San Diego (1994 season), Denver (1997) and New England (2001).

He would be the first rookie to take his team to the Super Bowl according to this article from cbssportsline.

Olympic also had lines up with the Steelers against both teams after they beat the Jets. Steelers were about -1' against the Pats and +3 against the Colts.

The Score of the 1st Jets-Steelers Game was 17-6
How did the Jets almost win that one.(The Playoff Game) If it wasn't for 2 gift TD's (1 Special Teams and 1 INT Return)The Jets Offense would have scored 3 points. But those things (turnovers and special teams) are part of football and so is making field goals. The Jets didn't They Lose!!! HA HA HA
The Pats fans are just mad they didn't get a easy game at home to make sure they go to the Super Bowl because we all know the Pats beat the Jets Twice this Year and the Jets would be exhausted.
I have watched every Steelers Game this season wow 16-1. No.1 defense no.2 rushing attack etc etc. I remembering the Steelers Pats game this Year and The Steelers rushing for over 200 yards and last week against the jets rushing for over 190 yards. so everyone in the whole world knows we going to run and we still do it!! and there is not a DAMN THING you can do about it. The Steelers are the most PSYCHICAL in the NFL.Now because the Pats beat a soft Colts team at home in the Snow the unstoppable. And they have Dillion for this game, well we played against Dillion twice a year when he was with the Bengals so we do have a book on him.I SAYING if Cowher cant get his team up for playing the Pats as a home UNDERDOG (dis-respect-slapp in the face)The team the beat them the last time there were in the AFC Championship game. The Media already saying the Pats will win, can't see how they can't etc etc.Cowher couldn't asked for a better Script!! In Closing I love the Fact the overcame a bad performance last week, They Got a wake-up Call, they will be more focused this week!!!

simply the two best teams in AFC in what should be a good game...

that being said ..if there is one thing i have learned about betting Patriots games over the last 3 years ..is simply you can basically throw out all the consensus angles when it comes to this team.

Time and again this team has covered with the public all over them..especially last year...but the fact of the matter is simply the two consensus sites i have checked are at about 50-50 right now...so im not even sure that the angle even applies ...

so we have the best defense at home where they went undefeated this year...and gave the pats a solid whooping last time out by 2 touch downs ..and yet the line is set as Pitt getting 3...strike anyone as odd???

absolutely no way patriots turn the ball over 4 times in this game..they have a great shot at winning this game...

This is by no means a Pitt bash..as they deserve to be in the position they are ...a truly great year for them and it would not surprise me in the least if they won...just think this game will be much much closer than the last time...

good luck

cooz
