just got back from watching this movie, pretty good movie, but i expected more due to the so-called hype. AR182, if you see this movie, let me know if you think Will Smith has a shot for an award, me thinks he gets one (best actor)

Average movie. It was a lot of hype. I enjoyed it but the wife left after the first scary part when he is searching for Sam.

hi dr. love....

probably won't see this movie...not a fan of will smith & besides the movie didn't get good reviews. i don't know if he will get nominated but it seems that voters don't take these type of movies seriously to consider if they are oscar worthy..

I saw the movie just a few hours ago. It was decent but the ending sucked. Someone in our group mentioned the remake. We also had a bad time since Tony Parker was being an ass in our seat row. We happened to sit next to him and Eva. I almost kicked him on my way to getting another beer. He's got the unibrow going on and she really isn't much to talk about with her current look. kurby

My daughter and I went to see it yesterday and was very disappointed.

It was OK but would have rather waited to see it on DVD when it comes out, not worth the theater ticket prices.

Hype and previews were definitely better than the product.

I saw this movie yerstarday. My wife got scared 2 times. First time she squized my hand very strongly another time she hit my ellbow somehow and I feelt it. She said if she knew it will be that scarry at times, she would not go to see it.
As for me, I like those new movies they become more and more realistic (thanks to new technologies) , possibly too reallistic. This movie not the best one, but I like it. And Smith, I think he is carismatic and it helped him to be a good actor.

Let's be real........most of these big budget Hollywood movies are terrible, they always sell the sizzle and leave you disappointed. The movies I've seen that i like are:

#1 Before The Devil Knows Your Dead

#2 Gone Baby Gone

#3 No Country For Old Men

In that order, all 3 are good in my opinion.

right on axle....this is a remake of an old vincent price movie("last man on earth"?)/"omega man"(charlton heston)....they were both pretty good...maybe this is good,too......did good box office...

i still haven`t forgiven smith for "wild, wild west"...lord,i loved that old series...robert conrad and ross martin were perfect...

watched this movie and I thought at best it was a 5 out of 10. It needed way more content and less scenes that took too long like smith in the store with the manequins, him hanging upside down by his foot, him talking to the girl before the zombies broke in, etc. Way too slow!

Hell I don't know
i agree average at best. They should have made 2 movies out of it.... one showing the outbreak of the disease and the city leading up to its current status and the 2nd part could have been this movie:shrug:
