Even Stevie Wonder seen this 1 coming. The Offshores should have shared the wealth and "greased" the right politicians. get it? "right". The USA government isn't going 2 let "outsiders" come in and profit without them getting a take. The Offshores should have set up a lobby and non of this sh!t would have happened IMO

Mr Lock

Ps The offshores will soon be starting up their own banking system in their home countries therefore the USA government can do Sh!t.

I can assure you that there were lobbyists working on behalf of our rights. Several well-paid lobbyisits have been on top of this in recent years. Most of the activity was behind the scenes. As of Friday AM, reports from the lobbyists were that the Senate would recess without the bill's passage. Then, unpredictably -- Sen. Bill Frist found the right situation to attach this totally unrelated bill to the Ports bill, and not one, I mean not a single Senator objected. The bill was not even voted upon. It was a ridiculous blind-side tactic by the bills supporters, among the most undemocratic things I have ever seen.

I have always maintained that the only thing politicians understand is power and money. Passive non-confrontation is a recipee for failure in Washington. The Christian Right kicked our asses (they wre behind this -- visit any of the Focus on the Family type sites right now) because were were not organized and mobilized enough to show not only the superiority of our position, but demonstrate there are millions of voters who are angry about this.

I agree that the online industry is largely to blame for not being more aggressive in its fight against this legislation.
