So. Cal
has sc missed a beat without him?
is sc in serious need of a playmaker?

no and no

worked out for the best for ginn as he is at a place that desperately needs him and sc has still not lost a game in their last 23.

If I did say that I think you are misleading everyone. Pete Carroll wanted Ginn badly and almost got him. Carroll had Ginn as the #2 prospect on his wish list. Jeff Byers was Carrolls #1 and he was the gatorade player of the year and signed with USC. So USSC def. wanted him but him not coming to USC was not a big deal. Plus everyone knew it was VERY TOUGH to get a player out of Ohio.

Why USC losing out on Ginn was not a big deal? USC already has a Ginn on their team and his name is Reggie Bush. Both are fantastic players. Remember, Bush coming into this season was only a soph. Bush must stay at least 1 more year so Ginn was not a must get. Thus, losing ginn was no big deal.

On the other hand, Ohio St. gettingGinn was a big deal. OSU does not have playmakers like USC and Ginn is from Ohio. No way OSU could afford to lose Ginn.

Would USC love to have Ginn? HELL YEAH! I think USC did alright last year in recruiting with the #1 class in the country and the most 5 star recruits in once class EVER!

Maybe Ginn wanted to get paid, get easy grades, and be the only superstar on the team. USC cannot compete with that! Good reasons to choose OSU! If he chose USC he wouldn't be the #1 player but he would be playing for a National Championship. Honestly, I think staying close to home had the biggest impact PLUS his Dad!

Just like Peterson choosing OU over USC and Ginn choosing OSU over USC, both made the right decision for themselves. Worked out great for them and no way would they be getting the same hype if they chose USC.

NEVER DID I SAY GINN WOULD BE A BUST IN COLLEGE AND LOSING HIM WOULD BE NO BIG DEAL. That is what your post is implying! Whether that was your intention or not, I dunno.
