- - I think I have a feel on the ways in which this one plays out, and I see plenty of "more likely than not" value with this wager.

- - The spread is probably a tad high, but Penn State's rock-ribbed defense, and plenty more, on the cusp of their own special season, fits the bill tonight for another venture under my prevailing premise.

Missouri(-8') over Illinois (1*)
- - Last year I got the first call right in expecting HC Zook to surprise with a hungry and fairly loaded Illini team. The second call is for Zook?s squad to disappoint with expectations duly raised, and taking the better team in a rivalry game topped with payback over landing the Rose Bowl birth is certainly the right spot for putting the premise right to the test.

Wahington(-3) over Stanford (1*)
- - Last chance saloon with Jake.


Central Florida(-4') over UTEP (1*)
- - "If UCF had been trying to shoot itself in the foot against Boston College, it probably would have missed."
