Out with Dave Campo, and in with Bill Parcells. Question is: Is Jerry Jones still going to influence all of the coaches decisions like he has done in the past? I'm guessing he will let Bill Parcells try to turn this thing around. Legend Emmitt Smith and Dallas are parting ways, and maybe this is a good thing for both sides. In a perfect world, we would all love to see Emmitt Smith ride off into the sunset with a big blue and grey star on his helmet, but the Cowboys are in a process of rebuilding. They cannot afford to have Emmitt take away carries from a future prospect, or to whine about not getting enough carries. For Emmitt this presents an opportunity to seek a job with a true contender. So where does Dallas go from here? Let's start with the obvious. Quincy Carter is junk and Chad Hutchinson looks pretty bad as well. When I say bad, I don't mean bad like Joey Harrington or David Carr was last year, I mean bad with not alot of light at the end of the tunnel. They wanted Emmitt out, so who is going to play running back? The guy who split carries with Emmitt last year (his name eludes me) has looked OK at times. Maybe its worth giving him a shot. On the otherside of the ball, I think this teams most pressing need is Cornerback. Mario Edwards was ok, and Derek Ross seems to be turning into something, but they could use a solid shutdown defensive back. In my opinion this team seemed to have more success on defense than offense last year, and although they have Joey Galloway, and Terry Glenn now, they have noone that can get them the ball. Can they draft another QB with the ammount of money they are paying Hutchinson already? I'm not really sure who Dallas goes with here. I would ditch Hutchinson, and go for a fresh start with maybe Leftwich. Or maybe go for a DB in the first round, and try to get a QB later on.
