Seattle has been a fairly quite player in the offseason considering there has been some good defensive talent available. This defense let Seattle down time and time again last year and so far there should be no reason to believe that things will change. On offense I think they are a good team. Should they re-sign Darrell Jackson, between him Bobby Engram and Koren Robinson the receivers should be productive. They have legitimate tight ends in Itula Mili and Jeramy Stevens. At QB they will have to resolve some issues but through parts of last season I saw both Matt Hasslebeck and Trent Dilfer be effective. Shaun Alexander, is just Shaun Alexander. As long as Seattle isn't down by 2 touchdowns before he gets his 3rd carry of the game he proves to be very effective. At times he struggled last year mostly due to the fact that the other teams would focus most of their defensive attention on him. Offense is set, now on to the defense. This team needs to generate more pressure on opposing QB's. Maybe they could address that in the draft, but that is where their problems originate. I think their cornerbacks are ok with Ken Lucas and Shaun Springs, but when a QB has all day to throw they will pick apart any secondary. This team also needs alot of help in the linebacking core. Chad Brown is very good, Isiah Kacyvenski is decent too, but I believe they were both hurt last year. This team needs these guys to play at their potential otherwise teams will run the ball like they did last year, early and often. Didn't Thomas Jones have a huge day against these guys? Man is that a slap in the face. Everyone in the league knows that Jones is a bust but Seattle must think this guy is the next Barry Sanders since he cleans up against them every time. I'm not sure how high Boss Bailey will go, but this team could use him. A speedy defensive end would take alot of pressure off of Jon Randle and in my opinion that is where they should go. This team is not bad, maybe a couple of solid defenders away from making the playoffs.
