The St. Louis Rams are a perfect example to demonstrate how you win football games. Everyone thinks that Randy Moss and Terrell Owens is what you need, but the fact of the matter is that this game is won in the trenches. This team had a porous offensive line, and it showed badly last year. Don't be fooled, this team is not as bad as their record showed last year. They are still the St. Louis Rams of old with Marshall Faulk (who is still one of the best in the league), along with Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt. I was surprised to see this team let Ricky Proehl go because he has been so useful to them, but on the other hand they didn't want to overpay him like Carolina did. This situation is similar to the Az-Hakim situation last year. I'd look for this team to get a WR in the later rounds of the draft. At QB this team has two very solid QB's in Kurt Warner and Marc Bulger. Warner needs his thumb to heal properly because he still is the triggerman of this offense. Should he faulter Marc Bulger proved last year that he can get the job done no problem. On defense, I really think this team isn't too bad. This D ranked 13th in the league last year and that is alot more than they need if they can get the offense rolling again. With Grant Wistrom and Leonard Little this line isn't bad. Not the best but maybe the previous first round picks Damione Lewis and Ryan Pickett can help out. Lewis has showed he can be effective, but he still has to continue to improve. With McCleon and Dre Bly gone this team could use some help at the corner position. Aeneas Williams is till good, but he needs some help. Maybe this position is worthy of a second round pick.
It is clear to me that the focus of this teams draft should be offensive line. Kyle Turley will definitely help, but they need more depth so that they can give Warner the protection he needs to revitalize this offense.
