I simply cannot believe the streak I'm in this past week. I can't get anything. I am about 3-15 in NBA and won one bet today in final 4. I won the Under in Fla/GMason...got lucky to get it. Felt great about Florida but went against myself b/c I've been doing so bad. So I took Mason. I took Over and LSU and lost both. Took S.A. and Under. Lost both. Took Boston. Lost. Last 3 days have won 2 out of about 12 NBA bets. Can't win in women's college bb. Not like I'm trying to set the world on fire. Just trying to have fun. No fun whatsoever.
A blind chimp with a dart could win at least 33%. I can't win 10%.

I'm both amazed and feel like shit that I've thrown so much money away just wanting to keep playing one more week. What a bitter taste left in my mouth. I am totally perplexed that I can make so many straight bets and not win even 10%.

Whatever strategy or logic I use...doesn't work. Whoever's advice I take doesn't work, but will prob. win the next day if I don't use them.

I am done for a long time. This is insane. Yes, I am a beaten man. I feel like crap.

Doesnt' matter what I do...I lose. I am a beaten man. Whatever I do win lately is way smaller play than most.

I could have written the same thing about a week ago. I was getting raped on every play, I was setting a record for losing plays at the free throw line. I had a guy at the line shooting 79 percent and he just needed to make one and couldn't and in the next two games that night....62 percent and 67 percent make them both in the final 10 seconds to beat me. I think everyone has had these runs and I also wonder why I do it. I wish you luck and if you find something that makes you feel better then let me know what it is for the future. Take care

Thanks. Done for now. I'm sure I will be back, hopefully not until football season. This year has been downright awful. I've had about 5 or 6 streaks similar to this.
I can understand gradually losing whats in an account or wasting money on parlays/teasers, but the last few streaks have been pathetic.
Also sucks that the one play I go against myself would have actually won.
I'm just sick of it and tired of chasing lost money.

Part of me hopes I never come back and another part of me wonders if I can even watch sports w/o gambling.
I doubt I can watch NBA w/o it, so that may be a good thing. Baseball sucks anyway. Prob. only college football and basketball.

I'm sure I'll be back for football, very refreshed. Just hate to start the break without the money I had a couple weeks ago. Not to mention a little more of the sanity.

Hang in there. I've been there on more than one occation too. Kinda glad tonight is the last game for me for a while. I only bet on football, and college hoops, so I guess I can start fresh in the fall. The final straw for me was the Texas 1st half bet, favored by 1.5, up by 2 and the dude gets the ball stolen and scores at the buzzer, worst beat I personally have had in a while. Anyway hold your head up , regroup, and GL in the future :toast:

TJ, cant tell you how many 3-15s Ive encountered in my years of gambling, thats Y i dont bet squat on games ...

hang in there, and people often never advise others here that there is always the most obvious and prob best option: quit gambling altogether ...

i know ive made many mistakes in my life, and several major ones were being too involved in gambling at expense of enjoying friends and family and life ... I dont do that anymore ...

If its making you sad, depressed, lonely etc. get out, at least for a few months, it will allow you to come back (if thats what you truly want) with a diff. perspective ...

It used to almost consume me, now I enjoy it much more b/c I don't risk much money and see it as total recreation, not some type of pipe dream where I will ever get rich ... and the ironic thing is, ever since i started that philosophy about 5 years ago, Ive done the best %/$/wise of my gambling life ...

Thanks pt1guard. That means a lot. And thanks to everyone.

I know, like many gamblers, I am very competitive. Not only does it piss me off when I'm losing hard-earned money...but it also pisses me off and defeats me b/c I can't win. I can't win the game.

Sometimes it is so easy, but then I get into these streaks where I can't pick anything right. Its one thing to play 10 games...go 5-5 and lose juice. Eventually going to lose it all anyway if you can't hit that magical 56% or whatever it is. Its also not that bad if your playing teasers/parlays, etc. and just giving book even more of an advantage.

But, to play nothing but straight plays and lose over 80%. It drives me INSANE. Some games will not even be close and you wonder how did you not know better. Then others will be close and you'll lose it in the last minutes. And, then others, are bad beats where your on the right side and some crap happens late, etc.

So many ways to get frustrated.

I'm done after tonight and want to get as far away from it as possible until football season.
