I think it should be a requirement

that everyone on this forum list where they are from and who they root for, especially if they are suggesting a HUGE play on a game.

I've just seen too many GOY plays on teams that happen to be from the same state as the poster making the pick.

It's nothing personal against anyone. I know I don't trust myself when handicapping my Sooners. I was just POSITIVE that OU would cover easily last week against Texas. I was dead wrong.

OKD,

I was dead wrong about Syracuse over CT last week and it won't be the last time.....BUT......that does not make me a better handicapper outside the BE or on any other team. I know this team and its competition FAR better than any other. So it is that I will add if I am making a small homer play or if I really see an advantage.....I think I want to hear from the regional specialists and about the teams they know best... like the "Sooners" GL

You make a good point, and from within the conference, you are definitely correct that it helps to be from that area and to follow that particular conference.

I'm only talking about making picks involving your specific, favorite team. And I'm not asking people to stop making those picks. I just want to know whether or not they have a personal rooting interest.
