I had Duke as well and got lucky.........The refs helped us big time late in the game with the 2 technicals:mj07:

Maybe your capping needs some fixing.....Ever think about that?
Capping? So I guess those on Duke "capped" that there would a questionable call at the end leading to 2 techs by Boeheim that gift wrapped a miraculous Duke cover...I had no dog in the fight but anyone lucky enough to have had duke should be thankful for a Boeheim meltdown that led to an improbable cover...capping had nothing to do with it
So I guess taking into account that Duke is Duke and going to get some calls go their way doesn't count as capping.
If you can cap an improbable finish and cover like that in the final 10 seconds you are VERY GOOD......Maybe you could even pick a perfect bracket
If you see the replay of the Fair charge his foot was out of bounds on sidelines when he caught the ball. Refs missed call.
I don't think the cover was fixed but I've seen Duke for years and this is how they win.
That last call could have gone either way....that said, it just about always goes Duke's way no matter if they are on offense or defense...and anybody but Duke last night and they call it a block.
On top of that, Parker committed a blatant charge a few possessions before that and ended up with a 3-point play. No way was Duke gonna lose that game last night and I bet accordingly. Not b/c I think they are better than Syracuse....but b/c I've seen that episode a hundred times before.
I couldn't lay the 6 points and there was no way I was taking Syracuse....so I teased Duke down to -1. The game was total bullshit, as most Duke games are, and I'm glad to see Boeheim at least do something there at the end.
Pretty much wraps up Coach K's fraud of a career. I was actually pulling for Syracuse late in the game even with my Duke bet. Its also no surprise Syracuse big men get in foul trouble early in 2nd half. Another great "adjustment" by Coach K...he must have written a bigger check at halftime lol...what a piece of trash.

Couldn't agree more...Duke at home over the years, is blessed with
favorable game calls. I have bet Duke at home when behind at the half many times over the last 20 years and made good coin.
The "meltdown" saved second half betters, (had em at 4) but it is absolutely amazing to me
the Gambling Gods give the nod to Duke at HOME over and over; could be the Coach K legend to be factor.

Let's look past the fixed call on Fair. How the fuck does the ref THROW OUT BOEHEIM ? Ok so T him up but you just made a call that changed the outcome of the game for his team. A TECH agreed but to toss him ? The guy has NEVER BEEN TOSSED IN his entire career. Once again REF'S given way too much control whether it be PRO or COLLEGE.
The refs had no choice but to throw Boeheim out of the game......he ran on the court and confronted the ref
Agreed....game's should never ever be decided other than by the players on the floor or field.
I think you have to toss Boeheim in that situation. I also think yet another archaic college rule is having a technical foul be 2 shots. At least its not 2 shots and the ball anymore.
