My only loss yesterday, I have Tenn/Vandy over 49.5.

Ok, less than a minute to go, Vandy has 4th and goal from the 2 down 39-7.....and they what? What do they do? They kick a F UCKING field goal? ARE YOU SERIOUS? Why? Can anyone give me any explanation as to WTF they were thinking?

Then to top it off, they dont even onside?

Very strange, I got it early in the week at 49 but that is bizarre.

That is downright amazing. I could "sort of" see, if maybe it was 4th and goal from the 15 or something like that, but even then....

Its also amazing that he could have had the same situation, down by 9, and wouldn't have even thought about the FG. Or, at least some coaches wouldn't...even if it was from the 25....

Tough loss. At least you should have had the chance at the 2-yd TD...

I didnt watch the game, but if it was a well put together drive, I can understand kicking a fg and getting some points at the end of the drive as kind of a bonus. It is so demoralizing to go all the way to the 2 and come up with no points. Its not like a TD was going to get them back in the game, and if they were down by 30+ they obviously werent controlling the line of scrimmage, so maybe the coach thought he should reward the kids with a good drive by getting some points on the board instead of letting a good drive go to waste.

Not that this explanation will help the loss or anything, but I am pretty sure this is why he kicked a fg.

Or like Scott said, it was fixed. Just like Cardinals/Bears game was fixed so that Cards would win in their new stadium.
