After watching UNC the past 4 weeks it is apparent Doherty doesnt have a clue......They should have wiped the floor with PSU today and they not only blow 11 pt and 4 pt leads but they look stupid down the stretch. With their size advantage today they should have pounded the ball inside over and over................

When they had the lead he started going to the bench and oh boy did they suck. Insted of putting the game away he made a awful moves. He has no clue how to handle the guys on that team. What the hell happened to Forte and lang after they lost the lead? I heard commintater say all ther loses are over 10 points. Its to late now to get his head out of his ass.

Having gone to UNC, I am totally pissed at the effort that was displayed by the Tarheels yesterday. Although Doherty made some wrong decisions, he was not on the court for the 22 turnovers( 18 steals, let me repeat that,18 STEALS). It is very hard to pound it inside when your supposed All- American candidate can't do anything with the ball unless he is right in front of the rim where he can dunk it. I can't believe that he has gone to Carolina for four years, and he still has no move where he can score. I do not know where Forte was yesterday, he looked clueless. All I am trying to say is let's don't be so quick to blame it all on the coach. This is only his second year as a head coach. He will learn from his mistakes and get better. I just think the internal problems that we have been having did us in, just my two cents.

Anyone catch Doherty's interview after the game? He was crying like his whole family went down in a plane crash! I don't mind a coach showing a little emotion to his players, but openly sobbing about your team's defeat is a little much in my opinion.

I went to school at Carolina and can tell everyone that we are very excited to have Matt Doherty as our head coach. Yes, he does make mistakes and is "learning" on the job. But I certainly didn't hear anyone complaining about his coaching strategy when Carolina went on a 18 game winning streak and was #1 in the nation. As fenceman stated, turnovers and not having a quality, experienced point guard was this team's main deficiency.

Sorry if I seem defensive, but I honestly don't think that Matt Doherty was the reason for this team's demise. Something happened with team chemistry at the end of the year. They lost their heart and will to win!

We will be back and very soon!

Sorry for the tangent! Had to get this off my chest!

I'll give Doherty a chance to recruit his own players and develop them the way he sees fit before I call for his head on a platter. When this team got their ass kicked by Kentucky and Michigan State in December all of a sudden people were saying Carolina would finish 5th in the conference. They beat Duke at Duke, and swept Wake and Maryland. They had a hell of a run. There are some internal problems and I think Forte is at the root of them. I've never seen such a superstar turn into such a selfish, unemotional player so quickly. Personally I think he's been mulling over the NBA but the way he played the last 6 weeks of the season, his stock had to have dropped some. Did Carolina suck yesterday and for the past 5 Sundays? Hell yeah they did. But we'll be back. We always are.
