After my accident in 1986 I spent well over 1 year in a VA HOSPITAL in Boston. Met guys still hurting from Vietnam, Beirut and almost everywhere in between. Its unfathomable the little thanks and gratitude many of these Americans get for their sacrifices.

If you see a VETERAN today shake his or her hand or buy them a coffee, let them know you appreciate their efforts.

Thanks for your great reply over on the other thread. Seeing your user name, thought you may be Irish. My family emigrated from Belfast after WW 11. Both my uncle and I were drafted to serve in the military. We were both proud to serve.

I'm going to do something this afternoon that I haven't done before, based on your advice about buying a cup of coffee for a veteran. After work, think I'll go down to our local VFW post and buy a round of adult beverages for the guys.

Thanks for the idea.
