This is the NFL calling a timeout to ice a kicker at this level makes no sense. College I can see but at this level don't give a 2nd chance. Andy Reid you got lucky the 1st kick not evenclose 2nd one there just short.Stop trying to ice an nfl kicker.

I think there is still pressure at any level but a lot of times I do agree....these guys are pretty damn good at what they do, etc.

What I am just SICK of....is that the game isn't stopped before the play. I am so sick of seeing a guy nail a long, clutch FG only to be told it doesn't count. Or a guy blocks the game winning kick and we have a $9 Billion version of a 2nd grade "Do Over".

How about we do what we did on the damn HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL. If a coach wants a timeout, he signals it to his TEAM and they call timeout ON THE FIELD. I guess they figure these idiot players aren't smart enough or don't have enough discipline to look to the sideline for the signal.

Had Philly -1 and can't believe Giants didn't win.

I've always related this to golf

For me, if I get a chance to hit a shot/putt and it comes up short, long, left, right etc. I pull out a 2nd ball and it's ALWAYS a better result.

Same deal with kickers. It allows them to get a feel for the wind and the angle of the kick.

That fat fuck almost cost Philly the game. 1st and goal at the 7 or so and he runs the ball three straight times not really trying to score a TD down by 2 with Vick basically taking a knee on third down. WTF? Man I was hoping they would lose because he didnt try or play to win the game.

Agree. Me too, even though I had big coin on them. I never understood why coaches don't continue to play the game aggressively throughout and than just play conservatively towards the end when playing aggressively got you there in the first place. Especially since there's a sense of urgency with the other team. Never made and sense to me.

Not half as bad as the 3 running plays he called when it was 1st and goal from the 1 yard line. He tried 3 straight stretch plays instead of pounding it between the tackels or letting Vick sneak it in. I was hoping the FG went in so his goalline play calling would have been the talk of Philly all week. Now he's 3-1 and that's all that really matters.

There is a time and place to go conservative....but that wasn't it. You have to make sure you get the FG there but you can still call safe plays that give you a chance.

The field is no longer the same 100 yards it was back in the day. You got Eli on the other side. You really want to give him 2 minutes to get into FG range.

Just some bad football at the end of that game and that 3rd down play was terrible.
