Quentin going to have surgery on his wrist. They will be putting a couple pins in and will re-evaluate in a couple weeks. Looks like HE GONE for the year (along with Crede). Hopefully Griffey will start juicing if he hasn't to this point. Best offensive threat history.

After either he hit his helmet or bat out of anger during an at bat. Local radio thinks they may have it pinned down to an at bat during the Cleveland series after he fouled off a ball he thought he should have handled better. He was then shipped to the doc to figure out what was wrong.

They should lock Zambrano and Quentin in the same room during or after post season for a week as punishment. Big Z possibly caused some of his own (shoulder) problems as well by spazzing out every f'n game. These immature players bring nothing to the success of their teams by acting like this. Possibly a whole season pissed away.

Konerko, find your cape now!

Quentin needs surgery on wrist, likely done for '08

September 5, 2008

BY JOE COWLEY Staff Reporter

Carlos Quentin's season appears to be over as the White Sox left fielder and MVP candidate suffered a fractured right wrist that will require surgery Monday, according to sources.

It's not certain how Quentin suffered the injury, but speculation is he punched a locker in Boston. He was a late scratch before Monday's game in Cleveland and hasn't played since.

Carlos Quentin may be in a cast when he shows up for tonight's game.

The Sox have options to replace Quentin, including moving Ken Griffey Jr. from center to left field. And Nick Swisher would move to center.

He said in a news conference today that he held the bat in one hand and hit his wrist off of it in anger in the 9th inning of a recent Cleveland game.

In other news....

Cowley is an idiot.
