Lottery sales set another record

Georgia Lottery sales set another record during recently completed fiscal 2006, seeing an increase for the 12th time in the game's 13-year existence.
Lottery officials reported $3.177 billion in ticket sales in the state fiscal year that ended June 30, up $255 million from last year.
Ticket sales pay for the HOPE scholarship and pre-kindergarten programs, and $822.4 million was transfered to the state to be used for those programs during fiscal 2006. That's about $20 million more than last year. The rest of the ticket-sales money goes to prizes, advertising and administration of the lottery.
"What the Georgia Lottery has accomplished in sales and revenue growth, year after year, is amazing," said David Gale, executive director of the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries. "The Georgia Lottery's unparalleled performace has made it not only one of the most successful lotteries in U.S. history, but one of the most successful in the world."

geezzzzz......... a good example of catching a bass
I got a short fishing story for ya .
It was a long time ago. I went fishing . I had some kind of a lure a friend had given me. .
I could of caught a Pike with that lure
We split up and I went by myself to this cove like place. It was 0540 in the morning and I was still groggy. The sun was coming up and it was warm on my face. .
So I whip that lure out into the point of the cove.
Immediately it is hit by something big. Was this a bass . I had never caught a bass.
I could get my picture taken with this fish.
I was thinking about that alot. Now if I could just get the fish to shore.
I had to have proof. Not hey I hooked a huge bass but it got away......... nooooo !
I got the huge bass on shore and it immediately started jumping and the fawking hook came out.
what more was going to go wrong.
So the fish is flopping around like crazy. I drop my pole and rush towards the fish in a leaping motion I hop on top of it.
The fish jumps away again out of my grasp and almost lands in the fawking cove . Back in the water
now I am sweating bullets.
this is life and death now as far as I am concerned.
I finally make one last leap and grab the fish by the throat. I am squeezing him so hard his eyes pop out
I had that fawker now
I ate a fish dinner that night.
