Yeah Gregg,,,,,,,,youre are right.......this ones a lot more tainted than the 1999 one.......I was half kidding........

I always remember Shaq giving the Spurs a hard time for that strike shortened season.......saying it wasnt really a "real title"...........

Just such a crappy way to decide a great series..........

Would'nt ever think something like that could happen in a pro league........

Don't count out the Jazz. Okur, Kirelinko sp?, and Boozer form an impressive frontcourt. Deron Williams is also one of the top 5 passing PG's in the NBA. When you look at this series objectively, it's much closer than the oddsmakers think IMO.

I'll give Paker a slight edge over Williams. I'll give Duncan an edge over Boozer. However, if Manu becomes Manure this series because AK is guarding him, don't say I didn't warn you.

Now, that I have pumped up the Jazz, they will probably lose 4-1 in this series. However, they are getting underestimated IMO.

Dont know what will happen but you can bet Utah will play much better defense than the Suns did and Sloan wont let his team get checked and pushed around like Bowen did with Nash.........

agreed.

They have a fine coach, disciplined, filled with confidence, smart, and well balanced. I however believe they will get hammered by the Spurs defense and will not have enough offense to compensate. They lack a TRUE go to guy when they need a bucket against this spurs defense.

Spurs win in 5 or 6.

SD,

I think a huge problem for Utah will be the SG/SF positions as well. Spurs have a lethal combo at this position in Finley, Manu, Bowen, Barry, and Horry. These guys are capable of giving the Spurs about 55 points any night. Jazz have to counter with Girichek, Harpring, AK, Brewer, and Fisher... they just don't matchup offensively with the Spurs at this position. I know Horry and AK play the PF position a lot as well, but both can play the 3.

Boozer is going to have problems with Duncan as well. He gives up 2-3 inches in this matchup plus Duncan has 3 rings and wants #4. I do think Deron Williams should post up Parker on a consistent basis this series.

Something in my gut tells me the Jazz are going to make this a difficult series. Utah pulled off a nice upset of the Rockets in game #7 and have been rolling. I know Utah had one horrid game in Golden State and my guess is they will get killed one game @ SA. However, I wouldn't be shocked if they took a game @ SA either.

This could be a very good series with two great coaches. Boozer is playing like a man and im kinda curious on how he will do in this spot. My problem with Utah is Harpring. He just does some real stupid things on the court. hopefully they will keep it out of his hands.

Utah has no chance. They are a so-so team that has benefitted from a favorable draw in the playoffs so far. They got a Houston team that had a coach in Van Gundy who has been a post-season disaster and a player in McGrady that is the same way. Then they got the #8 seeded team. San Antonio will beat Utah in 5 or 6 games.

Mister Covers, how can you say the Jazz have no chance at all? They're well coached, they have a tall frontcourt and should hang with SA on the boards. Jazz are also extremely tough at home going 6-0 SU including 5-0-1 ATS during the playoffs (arguably some people covered with G-State on the push including myself). Jazz are very well rested as well having not played for 5 days while Spurs just played a draining game #6 that ended late Friday night.

I'm not saying the Jazz will win this series, but too think they have zero chance isn't good analysis IMO.

If Boozer gets completely shutdown by Duncan, they don't have a shot. However, Boozer is a beast at 6-9 and 260. He should be able to get Duncan in some foul trouble during a few games in this series and he's raised his game bigtime during the playoffs.

Anyways, I'm not going to be shocked to see the Spurs win in 5 games, but I also won't be completely shocked to see the Jazz pull off a miracle and win this series either.
