I will jump off the Ambassador Bridge and plumett into the Detroit River with a brand new pair of cement shoes.

Detroit and Oakland
Under 9
+105

This is the best total I have seen in awhile. It was 9 -120 last night and now it is 9 +105. The line is shaded the absolute wrong way. This game is nothing more than 5-3.

Here is another dog that I believe is rabid and waiting to attack human flesh, Los Angeles +145 to beat Chicago. Cubs are having enough hitting problems right now. And now they are on the West coast to face a pitcher they have never seen before. Cubbies are not scoring enough runs and the Dodgers win this game against Wood. It won't be pretty and runs will be few but the home team wins.

While jumping off a bridge may be a bit severe, obviously you feel very strongly about this play. Just wondering what lead you there?

GC, I not only said I would jump off the bridge I said I would do it with cement shoes.    Talk about point of no return.

Here are my reasons,

1- - Tigers coming home after a week out West. I think their bats will be a little sluggish. For a week they went up against some bad starting pitching. That won't be the case here

2- - Barry Zito is great against Detroit. His ERA vs. them is 2.25 and hitters are just batting .208 vs. him. I know the line up is different than last, but it is still a comfortable line up and park for Zito.

3- - More Zito. 5 starts in Comerica, he has an ERA of 1.54  and opp. BA of .188  . In those 5 starts, his record is 3-2. That tells me he is pitching great there, but his hitters don't score a lot for him either.

As long as Johnson doesn't get killed, I think this one will be an easy under.

GC,
also

Rodriguez has struck out in almost half of his at bats vs. Barry Zito and Fernando Vina has not faced him in his career and that is a tough lefty lefty match up. Chavez is the only person who has hit Johnson well in the A's line up.

And if that's not enough to convince you, also know that the public is on the over at around 72%! ;)

And Pinnacle Sports is refusing to move up to 9. They are adding juice after juice after juice to the 8.5 where the over is now -149. That says something to me. Normally it seems books will juice a number up to a certain point and then move it.

May I suggest some lighter weight cross trainers instead of the concrete shoes ?

Still alive for the push at 4-4, I hope you get it.

Spang, my feet were already form fitted for the cement shoes. No turning back now. Making the drive East from Chicago to Detroit and taking the plunge. I'll be sleeping with the fishes in no time. I'm a little surprised by the out come in the game actually. I was doing great for awhile but I just took a big hit to the wallet on this one.

Disclaimer: I am not encouraging suicide to anyone. I remember Kickserv getting torn a new one for calling his plays Testicle Plays.

During the 6th inning, I called all my friends and told them the cement shoes were being put to use. I went to downtown Chicago and had the finest steak and seafood a man could have. After all, Jesus got a final meal right? I figured I deserved the same. The guys in the restaurant looked at me a little funny since I had 2 blocks of cement on my feet. I told them about how Zito got roughed up a little in the middle innings of the game. I make my drive through Indiana and to Detroit and I find out it's in extras tied at 4. The 5 to 4 final was a thing of beauty. The only problem is I still got these 100 pound shoes on my feet and their form fitted. But no need for the leap from the Ambassador! If Dodgers can hang on, I will make money for the night! I will check back in tomorrow and do my best to post some more winners. Thanks Spang for the good Karma
