Instead, the Senators have opted to get a look at youngsters Jason Spezza, Antoine Vermette, Billy Thompson, Greg Zanon and Brooks Laich. Among the veterans will be Marian Hossa, Shaun Van Allen, Jody Hull, Karel Rachunek and Shane Hnidy.
Billy Thompson and possibly Martin Prusek will split time in goal.
