In the market for a mid size (not heavy duty) snowblower, and am interested to hear what you have and the maker. Living in Minny I need reliability!

Let's hear some thoughts...

Franky Wright- Was researching them last night, 5 year start guarantee etc., looks good so far. Thanks for the info..

Beaner-

Come on now. I need to stay fresh for the ass kickin, I can't afford to let a strained back keep me out of action from collecting for you and saving your ass from a beat down. Besides, as soon as they hear old dogface is down with a freak snow shoveling injury, Lucy Triple Tits... may be on you your doorstep ready to close the curtain on the The Bean Town show. (Remember she is married to the Nigerian around the corner that owns the Fried Chicken Restaurant.)

So maybe you can take some of our profits, and maybe send me a gift from the Old Boss! What do you say...Sir!

I have a large one in the garage myself. All warmed up and ready for action. :)

Make sure you get the self driving type. Mine can go at various speeds. If the snow is a bit light. You can fly through it. If it's heavier, you ease through it and let the blower do its business.

There is no such thing as "too large".

beantownjim offers the following preventive measures to help keep backs in shape when shoveling :

Warm-up. Before beginning any snow removal, warm-up for five to ten minutes to get the joints moving and increase blood circulation. A good warm-up should include stretches for the back, shoulders, arms and legs. This will ensure that your body is ready for action.

Don't let the snow pile up. Removing small amounts of snow on a frequent basis is less strenuous in the long run.

Pick the right shovel. Use a lightweight push-style shovel. If you use a metal shovel, spray it with Teflon first so snow won't stick.

Push, don't throw. Push the snow to one side and avoid throwing it as much as possible. If you have to throw, avoid twisting and turning - position yourself to throw straight at the snow pile.

Bend your knees. Use your knees, leg and arm muscles to do the pushing and lifting while keeping your back straight.

Take a break. If you feel tired, short of breath, or like a elephant is sitting on your chest
Stop shoveling immediately because your probably having a heart attack and will dead in
ten minutes..
