It seems to me that if you are the manager of a major league team and you get swept by a team with a .262 winning percentage, you don't get to ride back on the team plane.

Florida is a good place for retirees, and Dusty should be put out to pasture.

This team spent too much money in the offseason to be this pitiful.

Dusty should have been cannned long ago. He must have pictures of the GM becasue I know he doesn't work cheap.

He is the worst manager in baseball. It's criminal how he's handled Prior and Woods.

ITS NOT THE MANAGER PEOPLE. ITS THE PLAYERS. COME ON NOW.... LOOK AT THAT PITCHING STAFF, EVEN MORE SO LOOK AT THAT LINEUP. ITS LIKE PUTTING A NASCAR DRIVER BEHIND THE WHEEL OF A HYUNDAI.

Dusty constantly would pitch these kids 120 + pitches per outing/ not saying that was the only problem/ they have bad deliveries but this didn't help

Exactly waymac. I remember about 2 yrs ago when he let Prior throw 120+ in his second start after coming off the DL. He treats his pitchers like they are throw backs to the 60's when guys like Gibson would throw btb complete games on 3 days rest. Should guys today pitch longer, sure. But they don't.

He's on his way to ruing Zambrano, too. Lat 4 game pitch counts: 107/110/122/113.

I agree the team sucks and the boys have bad deliveries, but it seems Dusty could do more than play with his toothpick. Just don't like the way he handles pitchers.

I agree that Wood's mechanics are awful but Prior's form is as good as it gets.

Also, sorry ass Don Baylor is as culpable if not more so than Baker for letting Wood throw too many pitches.

With that being said I would like to see Dusty gone at the end of the season. I just don't think firing him now would accomplish much.

Dusty has sucked hind tit every year here, not just now. I'm not going to go into all the stupidity he's commited, but lets face it, his career managing ANY team to this point is ZERO without roids.

Word is off local radio he's going to get an extension.

Lou would be one hell of a shock to these players coming of milk toast.

The GM Hendry just got his extension (company boy) and he very well may keep his good buddy. Nothing will change as long as the $$ train keeps rolling for the Tribune company. Sell outs, sell outs, and more sell outs. No winning needed at the worlds biggest beer garden.
