Game 1 went about like last year's game 1 in the NL series 1.

HT------------ 9-5
Fav-----------8-6
HF------------7-4
HD------------2-0
Totals--------7-6-1

Watch yourself playing last night''s winners. The trend is for the second game to go opposite the first game. Last year we had a night that went 10-4 which was about normal. I believe 9-5 was the worst we did last year. In the first two series last year, the winner of game 1 won the series 24-4. In the NL series last year the over was 26-13-3 even tho the under prevailed for all of the IL plays.

Ill try to keep this thread going for all the inter-league series.

Tonight I will take a close look at the HF that lost and the overs again.

***Had to revise numbers to reflect Bos game 1

Last night some things went the way I expected and some didn't. The strongest stat every year has been that the winner of game 1 win the series. So far 10 teams have already got the series locked. It is not uncommon for this stat to go 12-2 or 13-1. Look real close at Minn, LA, CC and Fla. We have a ump against use in Chi but I am leaning to Minn and LA. Det and Cinn both have chances to sweep as dogs and (in the first series every year) it seems that one or two teams manage to pull it off. Here's the way it came out last night

HT------------7-7
HF------------5-2 (12-6)
Fav-----------11-3 (19-9)
HD------------2-4 (4-4 so far)
Totals--------8-6 (15-12-1)

Game 3-----Series 1 NL parks

Last night things started to go as predicted tho I pretty well screwed up my plays with Ari and over. Small bets on 2 of the plays I mentioned in this section yesterday helped a little. Only Minn and Fla had lines I felt comfortable with. Should have pared all of them but didn't. Remember, the team that wins the first game wins the series. This went 14-0 and the four that were undecided went 4-0 last night. Last year I did very well playing the winner of game 1 in undecided series. No dog swept the series and only 5 teams swept out of a possible 10. There's only one AL team undefeated. Here's the way it broke down last night with the total for the series beside it.

HT----------10-4 (26-16)
HF-----------9-2 (21-8)
F------------11-3 (30-12)
HD-----------1-0 (5-4)
Totals------8-5-1 (23-17-2)

Like I said to start with, the home teams and the overs will prevail. Tonight this is what I will be looking at real close.

Series 2 game 1

Last night was almost identical to game 1 of the first series. So far (for both series) if you had played all the home teams, parlaying the favs over 170 and straight betting all the rest you would be showing a nice profit. If you only played the home dogs you would be well in front. Here's the way it went.

HT----------------8-5 (1 rain-out)
HF----------------5-1
Fav---------------9-4
HD----------------3-4
Totals------------7-5-1

Remember that game 1 winners win the series over 80% of the time and there are usually no more than 5 series undecided going into the 3rd game.

Only 5 teams swept series 1. One of them lost last night.

The Winner's Circle
GSP,

So, if the loser of game one usually wins game two, and the winner of game one almost always wins the series, then I would assume you'd play the Cubs today and the Yankees tomorrow, is that correct? Thanks in advance.

RTL, here is last years breakdown on game 1 in the NL parks. You will notice some very similar numbers.

HT-------------10-4
Fav-------------9-5
HD--------------4-3
totals----------10-3-1

In game two of this series the HT went 8-6 and the Favs went 8-6. The totals in the NL parks wound up 26-13-3. This was almost to the game the opposite of the AL parks totals.

Today I would look for home fav that lost last night as a first option and then all home fav and the overs. There will be more teams that won last night win again than lose. By the way, this series went 13-1 that the winner of the first game won the series. Hope this in some way helps.

The Winner's Circle
GSP,

Thanks for the response. Your valuable information always helps. That's why you're a winner. Question for you. I suppose the winner of game one would win any series at a very high percentage, whether it's interleague or not. Don't you think?

Series 2--game 2

HT-------------6-6
Fav------------8-4
HD-------------1-3
Totals---------5-7

Two games rained out. 7 of the 12 that won last night has now lost. That leaves 5 possible sweeps plus the two that were rained out today. For the first time in this year's IL the unders prevailed. Only one team has a chance to sweep as a dog. That's KC. I believe they did it last year too. Today, home favs that won game one and lost game 2 should be the strongest plays. I'll be out of town today so good luck to everyone.

Thanks for posting, gsp. This thread is the primary reason I'm actually making $$$ in IL play this yr as opposed to last yr where I had my ass handed to me:p :D

Good luck today!

Series 2 game 3

For the first time in three years that I've been doing this, the winner of game 1 did not win the series. The final count was 5-9 with 3 of those teams sweeping. Hou and Atl are the only undefeated teams and Atl has only played 1L series. Here's last night with the final count to the side.

HT-------------10-4 (25-17)
HF--------------9-5 (20-11)
HD--------------1-2 (5-9)
F----------------11-3 (30-12)
Totals-----------10-3-1 (24-16-2)

Yesterday I found a stat that I thought everyone needed to see but with the wife hollering to leave I didn't post it. Gorman in Mil. Mil was 2-8 for career. 0-8 since 99. Now 2-9. Sorry about that guys, I'll do better next time.

Series 3 Game 1

Keep in mind that last night was game 2 for Ana and these numbers take that into account.

HT-------------7-7 (8-6 on the night)
HF-------------6-3 (7-2 on the night)
HD------------1-4
F-------------10-4 (11-3)
Totals--------5-9

I said in my thread yesterday to look for HF and unders. One of my losers was Sea and then Balt o. Sea was a good play that just didn't happen but the over in Balt was not smart knowing what I know. I did steal a strong one on an ump play with Colo.

Tonight be careful going against a home fav that lost last night. Also, this is game 3 for Ana and Phil won game 1.

Series 3 game 2

Some things got back to normal while others didn't. The team that won game one lost game 2 went 8-6. That means there are 7 series undecided (Ana played game 3 last night) and six teams going for the sweep. Of the 6 only two are home teams and both are favored today. I'm looking for home favs that won game one but lost game two. Here's the breakdown.

HT--------------5-9
HF--------------5-6
HD--------------0-4
Fav-------------9-5
Totals----------7-7

Frankie, thanks for reading the thread. The criteria is teams that won game 1 wins the series. Today I am looking for home teams that won game one but lost game 2 and are the fav today. Those teams are
KC
Tx
CWS
Oak

There are two other teams that qualify but they are both road dogs today. That would be Stl and Colo. NYY also but as a home dog. Wouldn't surprise me if both rd win but I still have a lot of work to do in those games. Good luck

Series 3 Game 3
We have now finished the first AL park series and some things that should have happened did and some didn't. The unders went 24-17 with KC still to play. This is almost to the game opposite what happened in the NL parks. The team that won game 1 won the series but just barely 8-5 and still counting. There were 7 undecided series going into yesterday. Only two game 1 winners won which is very surprising. Stl as a big road dog was one of them. Here's how it broke down.

HT-----------------6-7 (19-22)
HF-----------------5-6 (15-15)
HD-----------------1-1 (2-9)
F-------------------5-8 (26-15)
Totals-------------5-8 (17-24)

Only 3 teams managed to sweep their series, Tor, LA and Cin.

Series 4 Game 1

HT----------10-4
HF-----------7-1
HD-----------3-3
F------------10-4
Totals-------2-11-1

If you had been playing HF and under it would have been hard to lose (6-2 if you pared them). This puts the unders in AL parks at 35-19-1. HT and HF are now in the plus column in the AL parks.

Series 4 game 2

HT-----------------7-7
HF-----------------6-3
HD-----------------1-4
F------------------10-4
Totals-------------8-5-1

Teams that won game one lost game two were 9 leaving only 5 possible sweeps. Look for favs that won game 1 and lost game 2.
