I am a member of golf's 99%. I play golf when I feel like it, but have not yet made it to the professional level! I have played the game for over 50 years, but have not really put in the practice time and study to be the best. I also probably do not have the skills to really get there either, and let's face it, I'm kind of lazy.

However, I now feel I should be paid by the successful dedicated Golf professionals for sort of trying. It isn't fair those players who have worked harder, have studied the game, have better equipment and are stronger and more skilled should make all that BIG money. Where's my share? Oh sure, they have their charities they give millions of dollars to, but I am sure they write all that off on their tax returns to reduce paying their fair share. Is that fair?

They should pay for my golf, buy me new equipment and pay me some of their winnings. The whole system should be changed to accommodate people like me! Let's occupy a golf course and demand those who are better at what they do pay for us who aren't as good. Whining should get us something, like media attention and sympathy!

Do you think this analogy is what is close to the real life situation it is mocking?

I think a better one would be about paying greens fees. As part of the 99%, I pay 100% of the greens fees when I play golf. The 1%, only have to pay 50% of the greens fees when they play. Yes, they play more golf than I do, but I don't understand why I pay full price and they don't.

You've got it backwards. 50% pay no green fees. Of those 50%, probably 15% of them not only play for free but get a gassed up golf cart, a cooler with beverages and free lunch.

How do I have it backwards? I pay full greens fees and the top 1% don't. I think the other part of the equation is that those people aren't playing golf.
