Wasting my time posting my plays in this forum.

Those who I respect - gsp, antonio, vanbasten, marmalade ...apologies for someone i may have missed - can get my e-mail from Jack if they wish...

The rest of you will just have to survive without me posting at 57% - hell, I'm only some clueless guy from half a world away who couldn't possibly win at the NBA anyway right?

So no more +331 ML winners like last night - wake up and smell the coffee people; ever notice that marmalade continues to win at a fine rate? No, course not.... guy gets less hits than u guys manage on the bong each nite.

Ciao.

do you do this to help people? or satisfy your ego. your not the only one here with a winning record. who cares.
showing off a winning record should not be a reason to post.
you should post to help out by sharing useful info. not for bragging rights and a pat on the ass....

good luck wherever you go.:)

Anders-

I understand what you are saying, but I don't think the amount of hits you get should take anything away from what you do. Yeah, it kind of stinks when you work hard at something and don't feel you might get as much due as you deserve. I think a lot of guys feel that way. There are plenty of people posting on the board that have 3-0, 4-1 nights and never get a "good job", "WTG", etc...etc...As difficult as it may be, you should not let it bother you. I usually check every thread I can on the board because you never know where the value will come from. Personally, I don't care about how many "hits" I'm getting. At the end of the day, we all know where we stand individually and I think that is all that matters. Hope you reconsider. If not, good luck.

Ciao.

What about the 2 losing sides and 2 losing totals from last night? Any more of those?

Anders bro

we are all in it not for the hits but being +ve at the end of the night .. by sharing our info and our views.

If i did not say before u do a good job man. We all need all the help and info we can get to beat the books.

As Dragon said .. its not the hits .. but the value that one can fine that matters.

Hope u reconsider.

Cheers !!!

Anders,

Look at all the threads. NBA just isn't getting the attention these days. I don't know about others, but just don't like the NBA these days. 1/2 the players are selfish, dwi driving, wife beating punks. Most of the time the games are a bore as players just go through the motions. I find the game almost uncappable. Props to you for doing as well as you are!

Do you play any CBB? Come over there! Lots of guys there that have fun win or lose (ok more fun when we win) and we would love to have another join in!

I agree that the board seems different of late, but I figured it was because football was over and many guys have stopped capping and betting.

Best of Luck to you

Guys...

Guys...

Adding fuel to the fire never helps. If you don't have anything decent to say or if you think Anders is off the deep end, just keep it to yourself. This petty bickering is the type of shit that does drive people away and then leads to posts about how MJ's is changing for the worst. I'm not saying I'm above this stuff and I'm not trying to play referee, but this trivial bitch fighting has got to stop. You don't get enough respect...most don't. We just have to deal with it. You don't like what someone has to say...ignore them. It's simple. I'm done with the topic because this is the type of thread that will get out of hand.

Good luck to everyone. Let's get back to what's really important...making coin.

Anders, I can only speak for myself but I hate to see you or anyone else that does their own cappin leave the forum. I try to learn from everyone that comes on here and once in a while, when I see someone going down a wrong road that I have already traveled, I try to call their attention to it. I also try to congradulate all the winners every night because I know how it is to be on a streak and think nobody notices or cares.

The other side of that coin is this, that no matter how many winners you post, every loser might cost someone else their hard earned money by making them change their mind on a winning play or re-enforcing a losing play. I'll say this one more time. It's not how many winners you play that makes you the money. It's how many losers you don't play that makes you a winner. 5-4 is not as good as 1-0. Hope you stick around.

Anders,

Anders,

I am more of a Reader than anything else here on the board, I pay close attention to is winning and who is loosing and although you may not feel like you get enough attention with hits just keep one thing in mind. There are hundreds of people out there like me who appreciate the work all of you guys do. If it means that much to you that you get more hits than the others you need to re-evaluate your life my man. Hate to see you go but soooooooooo loooooong!:( :thefinger :(

Anders, I hate to see you go buddy... We've definitely had our share of laughs during the Foots season. Alot of respect for your capping abilites it would be a shame to see you go honest. I hear were your coming from in terms of accolades though, ive just learned to deal with it. I'll never be one of them guys whose post will get over 1,000 views, even if i were hitting at a 60% oh well. I could give two shits. I hope to see you posting in the Off the wall forum though. Hopefully you'll reconsider. And never mind some of these sorry ass punks. I just try and share info and post as much info as i can to make it easier for guys to cap.

** Anders remember one thing ok??

Anders:

You and I go back a bit, so please consider what I'm about to say.

We really do want you here, posting you plays. I know that speak for many cappers -- who would rather see thoughful, deep-mionded posts from someone who does really his handciapping hiomework like you do than to have you leave because you do not feel apprecaited.

You made me some money in the Austrailian leagues last year. I followed many of your plays. However, because of my busy schedule and obligations, I RARELY if EVER had a chance to post a thank you. That doesn't mean I didn't appreciate what you did. I very much valued your presence at the site.

One thing that naturally goes with the territory is feeling that you are taken for granted. I've had my ups and downs, and from my years here at this site I know that there is NO CORRELATION between the number of hits and e-mails you get to the wins you produce. Last year, I hit 61 percent in the NFL. I'd get 20-30 e-mails a week. This year, I had a bad year. The e-mails doubled -- and quite a few were very nasty. So, I lose, but I became twice as popular (judging by e-mails). I had to get over that. It made me realize that since you and I and everyone will have wins and losses, don't worry about getting a pat on the back after a winning night or a winning week. The reward comes from knowing you helped others and from IMPROVING you own handicaping knowledge and abilities -- which were in the public eye.

I take my hat off to everyone who has the courage to post a play. It's better to hear and read somthig that is well-though out than to come and see blank borads and silence.

You deserve our appreciation -- but to really get satisfaction, it must come from something you WANT and feel compelled to do. I sometimes wonder if anyone reads the stuff I put up on the page. I have no idea what read, versus ignored. But, I put it up because I love to do it and I feel compelled to do everything I can to put up ideas and infrormation. Some things stick amd others fall by the wayside.

Hang in thre, Anders. The site is better for having you with us.

Anders-was that Bukowski?Had to be or a Buker wanna be.I've read all his stuff except that released after he died,(some of its not as strong.)He was quite a guy.I understand what you're saying about the unequal and often undeserved attention some get here, but you've gotta realize it's unimportant.I know I'm making a profit. The guys who get this attention lose somewhere around 4 out of ten just like you and I do.Some of them don't win that much, but who's counting. There are some guys on here who get hundreds of hits who are down thousands at 1 or 2 hundred a bet on bestbettor, yet people here can't wait to read their picks. Many here don't even bother documenting their plays there, for whatever reason one can only be left to guess.Your analysis/picks are always worthy of a close read and they add to the board. As said before in this thread, you seem to be a good guy.(Anybody who trashes someone for a losing pick is depending far too much on one play and doesn't understand the mathmatical probability of winning and losing streaks when playing 300 or 400 plays a season.)Hope you reconsider Anders.GL either way

This is exactly what I was talk'n about last week when.........

This is exactly what I was talk'n about last week when.........

I indicated some reservations about post'n a record in this forum.

Your damned if ya do......damned if ya don't.

Egos and records never mix real well.....IMO.

-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_

This is a tough forum to "break-in-to" and "earn your wings" so to speak.....and I'm not indicating that you haven't Anders. (Yours dwarf mine for sure!)

Some people will talk to some people and others won't talk to others.......don't let it get to ya.

I WILL make an effort to watch your post more closely.......I enjoy giving people props. Took me an hour or so Saturday morning to give everyone that won Friday night some deserving props.

I think we've lost some of our "newer" talent because they didn't get the "love" they needed to nurture them along.

Whenever we lose ANY member who's willing to WORK HARD posting useful information.....screw the records.....everyone has lost.

If a member of this forum doesn't feel I've earned enough respect to bother talk'n to me.....I figure that out rather quickly and move on.

There are many other good people here who'll befriend ya......don't leave unless you just feel you must.

Your record is outstanding and we need your input.

I for one admire you for post'n a record and lay'n it on the line for everyone to see!

It takes a "big pair" to keep a running total "night-in-and-out"......"win-or-lose". You have my utmost respect Anders.

However, keep in mind....a record can be a double edged sword.....gather'n respect from some......resentment by others.

Don't let it get to ya and amen to what Nolan & edludes just said!!!

I respect ya Anders.....pls stay around. GL ez
