I hate going against JMize on this, but I'm :mj03: on this one.
I do realize that Votto is out in game one of the Reds/ChiSox, but the line drops from -143 to -115?
Cincy just 6-4 last 10, but Sox in at 4-6. Both suck in day games.
Cincy gets an extra bat in the lineup to help the Votto situation playing at AL park.
But here's where the difference lies:
Noesi 0-3 in last three, not going 6 in any of those, and not going 5 in two of those. He has a 1.5 WHIP on the season.
Cueto 2-1 in last 3 and beaten badly last time out. That's where I see the value. I always like taking a quality pitcher after a bad outing the previous time out.
Obviously not many others seeing it my way as the line has continued to plummet. That's OK, if I take the loss it's at -115 and not -205.
As a high school friend of mine (Goose, who passed away from a rare intestinal disease at just 39) used to say, "I'll pay to see!"
