The Trib reports: "The [Cubs] pitching staff, now including six rookies, has given up 63 runs over the six-game losing streak"....MLB.com reports "Milwaukee pounded 26 hits, which matched a franchise high against the Cubs. The Milwaukee Braves were the last team to collect 26 hits off the Cubs, back on Sept. 2, 1957, in the first game of a doubleheader. In that game, Hank Aaron and Wes Covington each drove in six runs."
