where is there proof of that ? i would love to read it because i think Bush has long pulled the wool over the eyes of all of his voters/supporters.
Lets start enforcing the laws we have. Then we can look to improve on them. But we need to do all possible to stop the flow our way. This is as big a war as Iraq. We need to fight it even harder.

There is no option but to find a way to make those that have been here and working for many years legal. There is simply no viable, reasonable, economic, or even moral alternative. You guys talk big about "shipping them back" etc, but that WILL NEVER HAPPEN. It's best to face reality, acknowledge the necessity of labor, stop denying that these people exist, and move forward.

If you have not noticed, the amnesty bill of 1986 that Reagan signed was suppose to bring things under control. The result, give 3 million amnesty, 21 years later you have 12-20 million illegals here. In another 21 years there maybe 40 million illegals here. There are laws on the books in Reagan's amnesty bill, close down the borders and fine employers first before you do anything else.
Many states/cities/towns etc have had it waiting for the government to do something. Their own little city councils have started enacting laws. Sure these are not nationwide applications but it's pretty obvious I think things are starting to move in a better direction.
