i LOVE Florida St +4.5...

Iam hoping that my offshore has maybe a future on Florida St this year...because I think they will go undefeated. Taking the over for sure. IMO Miami will be a public team...as will Notre Dame. So I think Florida St and Florida have a lot of value to them.

Was kinda hoping that Ohio St line would be lower though...like Ohio St...but not at 17..

Immediate value on Texas A&M vs. Nebraska. Nebraska went down there as an 17 pt fave in 98 with a similar team and lost outright.

I will also take my chances with Miami as a pick'em vs. Florida.

Nebraska Texas even???? Texas may win that game by 3 TD if Simms don't get scared.

Can't see why Ohio State is favored by 17 over Texas Tech; they could end up losing that game outright.

Good stuff

the Ohio St line looks way off, I would probably play tech + 7 1/2- 17 looks like a gift I think the Bucks are very overrated coming into the season.

If 17 holds could be a huge play for me, if there are no injuries/suspensions prior to the game

I agree with you guys on the Texas Tech line.... +17 is almost a TD more than I thought Ohio St. would garner...even at home, which (along with public perception of this year's OSU team) may be the reason for the large line.

...but the one that stuck out to me immediately was Va Tech only a 2 point fav over LSU. This will be LSU's first game of the year under a new QB, but Va. Tech has two games prior to this one and the one immediately preceeding this one is a "warm-up" game.... I'll lay less than a FG on Va. Tech at home....

Also, going to be watching the L'ville line for Sept 14 when they play Color. St. I'm looking for L'ville to run roughshod over Conf. USA this year.... I'll have to look at Colo. St. a little more closely though....

...and even though I'm a Tennessee fan, I'd probably take the points and Miami on Nov. 9...and NO, I don't care that they're playing in Knoxville.... Miami will be favored by the time this game rolls around, so I'd probably take the +2 early, rather than wait....

I've been searching for these every couple of days since the beginning of July.

Thanks for the heads-up!

You all know I hate Ohio State....

You all know I hate Ohio State....

but you all are also correct! Texas Tech @ +17 is the play. All the hype (crap) around here is centered on their 4 tailbacks, (Lydell Ross being the only one with experience) True Freshman QB Justin Zwick, (who hasn't even reported to practice yet) and the season ending gift at Michigan.

My brother is a season ticket holder to Youngstown State University so I've watched Jim Tressel for nearly 10 years. He is toooooooooooo conservative! Even if he gets a 17 point lead on Tech, he'll run off tackle for 3 plays in a row, get no yardage thus losing field position, then punt leaving the tiring defense on the field with a chance to blow the lead. He did it at YSU and he did it last year.

3 games off the top of my head....
1. @ Penn State - Up by 19 - result - loss
2. Home vs Wiscy - Up by (20 or something) - result - loss
3. @ Michigan - Up by 26 - result - win by 6

Buddy, you remember having a similar conversation with me last year about the OSU vs Akron opener?

 WOW !!!!! its good to see some other cappers high on TEXAS TECH as much as I am ....its still early but i like the offense this team has.....the qb is one of the best in the conference...the only thing that scares me is that OHIO ST's defense was great last yr.....but like everyone else says 17 points is alot of points so early in the season !!!!

I am jumping all over Penn State and the plus 6, as the line will probably fall quite a bit after NU struggles in their early season games and PSU gains some confidence.

I will take the Huskers minus the points vs. the butts.

The only way NU covers that line vs. Texas is if Chrissy Simms pisses down his leg and shites on himself, because Roy Williams and the boys oughtta have a field day vs. our weak secondary.

Agree with everyone on the Ohio St line, think it is too high. I actually like Washington +3 vs Michigan. I know Michigan will want payback after losing last year (and I belive they lost a low scoring game on a blocked FG returned for a TD if memory serves). Plus it is in Michigan. BUT, I think Washington is going to be a little better than expected this year and is the overall better team.

If I was going to bet the game today: yes I take Texas all the way. Way too many unknowns for Nebraska. Texas came in and beat NU to break their 56 game home winning streak back in 98 and is the last team to beat Nebraska in Lincoln. Things could change but I highly doubt it.

Man, I hate to say it, but I agree with ya. That game has me worried.

Reggie Williams and Cody Pickett are a very good combo for the Huskies and they will give Michigan's secondary a huge, early test.

The only thing that sets my mind a little at ease is the Big House. I can't wait wait to make the drive for that game!

agree with you totally about tressell, but remember a few things.
the rb's behind ross are exceptional and will push him ( hall, riley, and clarett) and the defense with doss and nickey is amongst the best in the land. the note about zwick...... he actually graduated from hs early and so spent the winter semester at osu and played in the spring game, so he is very familiar. they should beat tt but it will be tighter than 17.

You're wrong about Zwick. He hasn't reported yet. In fact, I just saw him play Friday July 20th in a PA vs Ohio all star game.

You're thinking about Clarette.

Michigan big in this one. I'll take Michigan straight up vs. the Illini everytime. The Illini got a ton of breaks last season and with absolutely no quarterback this season, i don't see them beating Michigan in any way, shape, or form.
