Goodnight Cards.

Absolutely horrible work by the umpires. First calling him out...But then allowing it to be overturned when plays like that at not reviewable. Does the bullshit ever stop by the refs and umpires ?

WHAT WAS HORRIBLE IS THAT HE MADE THE INITIAL CALL AN OUT....THEY CLEARLY GOT IT RIGHT...SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN ANY CONTROVERSY BUT OF COURSE NOW THERE WILL BE...ANYWAY I BENEFITED FROM IT AND I'LL GLADLY TAKE IT.

Everyone including the 2nd base ump knew it was a bad call, it was better to overturn it than to suffer other consequences and ridicule. Whether they overturned it or not, it was going to be talked about all night and the rest of the post-season!!

It won't be the only controversial call. You have Jim Joyce, "he's safe at first", screwing Galaragga out of a no-no with Detroit, you have Dana DeMuth, who already screwed up, it's not going to end.

Bottom line-they reversed the call and got it right. That showed a lot! Sure a mistake was made but quickly corrected. What they didn't get right was Lester doctoring the baseball. The vine video is all over the internet. There is no doubt, in my mind, that he's using a substance. How will this affect his next start? This assumes a no repeat of 2004. The next start would be in St. Louis! This is going to be story.

Wetting the hands when you are granted permission to blow on them when its cold by the umpiring crew, is typical and if you have watched the Red Sox pitchers all year, their forearms or hair have been lubricated heavily and it's not because they are sweating, but the substance that they put in their hair will continue to appear the "WET LOOK", Buchholz is case and example #1, Lester has done this since he's been in the ML but he's got hardly any locks in his hair, LOL!!

Lackey rubs the shit out of the ball, so does Wachawacha, it ain't gonna make any difference - the outcome is execution, hitting the ball and pitching it to where the umps are calling it!!!

Later!!
