Son, we live in a world that has quarterbacks, and those quarterbacks have to be guarded by men with penises. Who's gonna do it? You, Mr. Poon? ...Sportsaholic? ...Betone? Incognito has a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for Martin, and you curse the Dolphins. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what Incognito does. That Martin's departure, while tragic, probably saved quarterbacks. And Incognito's existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves quarterbacks. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about on sports forums, you want Incognito on that line, you need Incognito on that line. Dolphins use words like "half-nigger", "big weirdo", "shit in your mouth". Dolphins use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending quarterbacks. You use them as a punchline. The Miami Dolphins have neither the time nor the inclination to explain themselves to a Madjacker who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very entertainment that they provide, and then questions the manner in which they provide it. Incognito would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, he suggests you pick up a helmet, and protect the quarterback. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to.

My opinion

What a mess this whole thing is. I sat in front of ESPN the other day and they kept playing this over and over again, having everything from commentators on it like Peter King, hall of famers, to friends and players of both parties. All of the teammates seem to be on Incognito's side. The two players couldn't be more different. It's assumed they were friends until a few weeks ago. The voicemail and the bullying is sick, but when do you stand up for yourself and be a man? That point was made and I do agree with it, it's the NFL. Also, what in the hell is this that I hear about the coaches telling Incognito they want him to toughen up Jonathan Martin. WTF was that all about. There was a former Washington Redskins defensive coach on ESPN the other day and he said he totally condoned this type of behavior, but the head coaches didn't. He said they wanted to see how those star college players would handle adversity at the NFL level. I fault Incognito and the coaches for taking it too far, but this is a big mess waiting to unfold and I bet we haven't heard the end of it.
