Be careful playing heavy home favs on the 4th of July, which I think is the tendency for many bettors. Over the last 4 yrs, home teams overall were 29-31 on the 4th, and in the AL home teams were 14-14.

Playing 3 early ones, but all for only 2 units, since I prob won't have a chance to look up Ump info with all the festivities going on tomorrow:drinky: :drinky: :drinky: ......

Interesting comment by Howe today about how he thinks Glavine's struggle this season is similar to Schilling's......that darn Questec machine. Last time I checked, there's no Questec installed in Cinci yet. Glavine's numbers on the road are way better than his home numbers.

Both NYY and the Cubbies have lost their last 4 games on 4th of July, while BoSox has won their last 4, so has StLooooo.

Woods is pitching with a sore Achilles, and the weather is gonna be 95-ish, 100% humidity. He's gone over 100 pitches in 9 of his L10 games, including L7. Not sure how long he will last tomorrow. Cubbie offense has caught whatever the Dodgers have lately.

BTW, since I added them up on my own, it's obviously prone to human error. I realized that NYY had won their July 4th game last yr 1/2 way thru the game, but they did lose 3 straight prior to last yr. Plus all the drinking last nite didn't help
