I know most of you will read this and will think "this guy is a homer who is really down on his team." And as a diehard fan, I hope I am wrong.

The overnight line on this game is UNC -1. If UNC can't beat Hampton or Davidson, what makes the linesmaker think that UNC should be favored in this game?

The problem with UNC is very simple....we can't create shots and, more importantly, we can't make shots. Creating shots usually comes from the ability of a good point guard. UNC does not have a reliable point guard. Freshman Melvin Scott will start the game at point, but his natural position is the two guard. Backing Melvin Scott is sophomore Adam Boone, who is very slow and cannot create shots for himself or anyone else and consistently gets beat off the dribble.

I could go on and on about the deficiencies of this Carolina team, but this team lacks confidence to beat any team on any given night on any given court. And to be favored against Indiana.....just don't see it!

I have made a practice of not betting for or against Carolina but this team will be exposed for what it is tonight, a team that was ranked in the preseason based on tradition that is probably in for it's worst season in 40 years.

I have nevered claimed to be a handicapping expert, but INDIANA plus the points looks awfully good. Don't be fooled by the "Carolina" name this year! We suck!!!

Now...I feel better.

Here here fellow Tarheel. I am an alum from UNC...class of 1999...and there is no way anyone should waste their money on my beloved Tarheels. I never bet against my boys...so I am going to watch the game with a heavy heart....and probably a sick stomach.

Just got back from Chapel Hill and I can say that I don't feel as bad about this team. We hustled and played pretty good defense, but on the other hand, we just have problems scoring and I don't see where the improvement is going to come from.

I see there were a few plays on Indiana, so congrats on a nice win. Keep in mind, I think the linemakers will not catch on to the Tarheels for at least a month or so. Carolina will be a good "play against" team for the month of December and possibly longer.

Bart, like you said, I hope our posts were able to steer our friends away from UNC and let's hope that the year gets better. If not, then we have had a nice long 40 year ride and we will be back next year. Remember the name...Raymond Felton!!!
