Reminds me of what they did pre-95 . Get rid of their good players, esp. pitchers-then fire the manager.

I have been playing against the Indians since they dumped Colon. Often people don't put enough stock into what situations like this do to a club. Front office cutting bait & slicing salary can absolutely cut the heart right out of a team, especially as the dog days of August approach. Cleveland is finished, my opinion Toronto also. The young kids trying to cut their teeth will still scrap, but the talent simply not there to compete.
Manual made a smart move. The writing is on the wall and the Tribe would love to keep him as the captain of this sinking ship and then dump him at the end of the year. Instead he forces their hand and they dump him early. Watch him end up with his old pals in Boston before too long.
