anybody know anything about this 22 year-old lefty?

he's apparently starting Saturday against Garza at the Metrodome.

best I can find is this...

Lofgren made two Grapefruit League appearances -- one ghastly and one effective -- as he went 0-1 with a 33.75 ERA. Lewis went 1-0 with a 16.20 ERA in two appearances, and Laffey went 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA in two appearances.

...that's from an MLB.com article.

I'm curious about his recent minor-league stats.

I've rated him as an about average starter for this first appearance in the Bigs.
I'm assuming that he's shown something in the minors to get the call-up at such a crucial time for the Indians.

Regardless, I think that Garza remains very affordable despite showing off some wicked stuff, so far, in the Majors.
Twins line should be cheaper tomorrow, I would think.
Might be worth a shot in the -120 range; maybe at up to -130, especially if the Twins win the opener.
On the other hand, Garza may have already gained the respect of the linesmakers, especially after coming off a brilliant game against these same Indians, and at Jacob's Field to boot; Twins -140 or higher and I need to know just how Laffey has been performing in the minors, first. Either way, I think that the team that takes the opener, Frisday, will have an edge going into Saturday's contest.
I still think that Garza will have some value...for a little while longer.

If you want something done right, do it yourself, I guess.

I have a feeling that this might look like shit (as in not be lined up right), but if you can decipher it then you'll get an idea of what Laffey has been up to.

He's been pretty solid all season, and great over his past 10 starts.
Give me a 9.5 or a 10, a decent umpire, and a low total Friday, and I think I won't be able to resist trying the under for Saturday's contest.
Twins still have the edge, playing at home and using a very successful (so far) Garza. Indians score 5 or more, Friday, and the Twins will look much less attractive to me. Unless they, themselves, can plate 5 or more...they haven't hit that total much over the past 2-3 weeks.
