INDIANS/MARINERS Over 7.5 -110 ? This looks to me like an overcompensation on the linemakers? part to the fact that Moyer has allowed only 4 runs in his last 4 starts. The thing is that the Mariners may approach or top this total by themselves vs. Baez and the Cleveland pen! Baez has been very shaky in his recent starts, as he has a 6.50 ERA with a very high WHIP of 1.61 in his last 3 starts. In his last start, he was lit up for 6 runs and 9 hits in just 4.1 innings by a Detroit offense that is not nearly as formidable as this Mariners unit. Should Baez be in need of early relief again, the Indians bullpen has been terrible, with a group ERA of 5.33 and a high 1.55 WHIP for the year. Granted, Moyer has been brilliant, but the Indians are hitting .281 vs. left-handed pitchers this season, as opposed to a dismal .237 vs. right-handers. I see no reason why the Tribe can?t scratch out 2 or 3 runs off of Moyer, which may be all that is necessary to push this game Over. For the season, Cleveland?s road games are averaging a combined 9.35 runs per game, while Mariners home games are averaging 8.12 runs, STILL good enough to go Over this low total.
