No surprises in Indy this morning. ... Any lingering doubts regarding the status of Marvin Harrison and Marcus Pollard were erased this morning when insider Chris Mortensen informed ESPN Radio listeners that both men have been ruled out for today's game against the Jets.
Mortensen's report was confirmed by Indianapolis Star News beat man Mike Chappell, who wrote in this morning's edition: "There are maladies that will keep five starters out of action today: wide receiver Marvin Harrison (hamstring), offensive left tackle Tarik Glenn (knee), tight end Marcus Pollard (knee), free safety Idrees Bashir (shoulder) and defensive tackle Montae Reagor (chest). That quintet shares 346 career starts.
"Also likely to miss the rematch of last season's wild-card clash, which saw the Jets bash the Colts 41-0, is wide receiver Brandon Stokley (concussion)."
Troy Walters will move into starting lineup opposite Reggie Wayne in Harrison's absence with Aaron Moorehead coming off the bench when the team lines up in multiple-receiver sets.
Joe Dean Davenport will come off the bench to join Dallas Clark when the Colts line up in two-tight end sets.
