info on danthebluegrassman?

I'm not much of a pony player, but I've been doing some reading and thought I'd try to get an opinion on this horse. I know he's Baffert-trained.

Pretty long odds right now, but I've read he's running pretty well at Santa Anita. He was beat in his last race by yougottawanna, but his jockey dropped his whip.

Any ideas about his likelihood to be in the derby? Any thoughts about him in the longer races?
