Just a small piece of info for youze guys... the M's lineup tonight has 5 AAA hitters in it. That's not sarcasm or a "gee these guys suck, they should be in the minor leagues!" comment, they literally have 5 minor league bats in the lineup tonight.
Tuiasosopo hits 5th and was just called up today due to Jack Wilson going on the DL.
Langerhans hits 6th and was called up about 2 weeks ago when Byrnes was released.
Josh Wilson hits 7th and was called up at the same time as Langerhans, and replaced Tuisasosopo on the bench.
Adam Moore hits 8th and has been with the big club all year, but he was a minor leaguer his whole career before that and should probably still be in the minors but they are very weak at the catching position.
Saunders hits 9th and was just called up a few days ago. Of all the guys mentioned, Saunders is the only one with real future potential. He's hit pretty well the last couple of days, but I still don't know if he's ready for the majors.
To make matters worse for the M's, Gutierrez, their 2nd best hitter, has the night off. Figgins, Kotchman and Lopez are all hitting a little over .200 or, in Figgins' case, below .200. So Ichiro will probably have to be the savior tonight. If ANYBODY other than Bergesen was pitching for the O's tonight, I'd be on them. I just can't put money on that guy.
