John Magnier of Coolmore Stud must be insane, right? How else could you possibly explain the purchase of an un-raced thoroughbred for a whopping $16 MILLION!

Can Magnier and his partners Michael Tabor and Derek Smith possibly recoup their massive investment? The odds say no.

He certainly will never make the $16 million in earnings on the track no matter how good he turns out to be. But if by chance the youngster wins the Kentucky Derby and or the Belmont Stakes or Breeders? Cup Classic, Magnier and his Coolmore Stud lads could sell his future breeding rights in syndication for millions more than they paid.

Coolmore agent Demi O'Byrne simply said: "He'd better be good. Time will tell." The colt is also expected to make millions by standing at stud.

He'd have to win every major race in the world to justify being purchased for that. As for now, we have no clue on what the horse will bring for his new owners.

But we're damn sure that they just want to see him win the Derby now.

Now let's see if this unraced and nameless horse can win the Kentucky Deby and justify his world-record sale.

Known as "The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports", The Kentucky Derb is Horse Racing's marquee event. As we begin to approach the month of May, soon the soils of Louisville Kentucky will be pounded by hooves, in some of the best Horse Racing has to offer.

With many of the world's best horses already establishing their mark coming into the event, Bodog has now posted its Futures for the Kentucky Derby.

Will this horse with no name live up to his "name?" Or will another horse claim the spotlight? Place your horse racing Futures bets now, at Bodog Racebook.
