My house was burglarized last Friday. I came home at lunchtime and put my dogs into their basement kennel since it was busting hot outside. I was in a hurry and exited from the basement walkout, so it was unlocked all afternoon.

I don't know what time these punks came into my home. There was no sign of forced entry. It had to be one of two routes: through a window off the deck (unlocked) or in the afternoon through that basement door that was left unlocked.

My question is on the homeowners insurance. Will it effect my claim if they contend that the burglar(s) entered through a door I left unlocked? Or does it matter?

Another question: they swiped a bunch of my sportscards and memorabilia. I had a bunch of these little posters of guys like Frank Howard, Clemente, Mantle. The posters will folded a bunch of times like maybe they were inserted into wax packs as a bonus item. Does anybody know of these? What year, what they are worth? Thanks for any help.

Those poster were from 68 or 69 and they were inserted in wax packs and far as current value have no idea. Topps put them out. might try beckett.com or ebay to find a value, i have some of those in a box myself, don't think they are that expensive the cards are worth more.

Pepper it shouldnt affect your claim one way or the other but remember you are pretty sure you locked the door but maybe not? Also be sure its worth it to turn it in cause this is gonna hurt you for 3-5 years on premium. Theft claims SUCK.
