If the 2004 presidential election were being held today, would you vote for George W. Bush, the Republican, John Kerry, the Democrat, or Ralph Nader, the independent?

Bush 47%
Kerry 42%
Nader 7%

Source: A Washington Post/ABC News poll

**The current poll is close, but what I find interesting is the results below. Bush's base seems to be a lot stronger than Kerry's. One third of Kerry supporters don't strongly support him...

Do you support George W. Bush strongly or not strongly? (asked of Bush supporters only)

Strongly 84%
Not strongly 15%

Do you support John Kerry strongly or not strongly? (asked of Kerry supporters only)

Strongly 65%
Not strongly 34%

Sounds about right based on what I can surmise from discussions I've had regarding this race. It seems to me that many who support Kerry do so based on the position that anyone is better than Bush. I fit in that catagory.

i find it interesting that kerry's numbers went down after he appeared on meet the press, perhaps the most popular sunday morning show. kerry just doesn't come across as a likeable person.

ozball,

i believe he picks his running mate at the convention this summer.

He will officially announce his running mate at the convention. We should unofficially know who it will be a few weeks prior. I am interested in who he might pick.

That poll is interesting. Either it's old or very strange. Because those number were just reversed on Friday. So by Monday the number changed. Kerrey was no beter then Bush was with his press conferance. So there both bad and have said that many times. Then when we look at how Bush is handling Iraq. It was 58% good. Now 48%. That was a drop ovr two weeks not 2 days. At one time it was over 60% a few months ago. On the economy Bush numbers are 45%. So I would say his number are very soft. It really dont matter it's coming down to gas prices by election time and if we have Bin or not. If both are still bad. Then about 9 swing states will deside.

Very interesting numbers. Iraq is coming off it's worst month. Bush certainly didn't do too good in his press conference, yet his numbers went up. My guess is that this has to mean that his ads are working.

I like his anger.

to be honest, even his anger seems to be a fake

for what appears to be genuine anger, listen to his fellow pal from Massachusetts, the former governor from Vermont, and the shameless senator from New York

99.99% of all Madjack posters feel Eddie Haskell is an anti-American Radical that still lives with his parents.

i say right now we start taking bets for the presidential election.
lets see people start putting money where their mouth is.
maybe someone can get ahold of madjack to run this bad boy.since so many people think G. W. Bush' days are numbered i'm sure they won't have a problem giving good odd's against his re-election.

I, for one, see no way that lowlife piece of shit doesn't get re-elected. I think it will be a horrible day for America, but I can't see how it doesn't happen. There are simply too many stupid people in this country that aren't willing to look at what a horrible man and leader Bush is and will just vote the way the television ads tell them to do.
