I am trying to compile information on teams that on the night before played an extra inning game(or a late game and have to travel) beyond 11 innings in the last game of their series. And both teams play the next day in new series. I am trying to find out how they perform. If the way Atlanta performed vs Toronto on Monday..is how teams usually play..then
I am on Milwaukee -150 vs KCity "a ton" on Friday. I also noticed that teams that win extra inning games lose the next day..and the teams that lose usually win. Anyone have a Stat on that. Thanks

A few weeks ago there was a marathon between two American league teams. I can't remember who for sure, but Toronto comes to my mind. The game went like 18 innings or so with one of the teams being off the next day and the other having to travel for a day game the next day. I thought "This has to be a gimmee."

Got my gimmee cut off the next day so I haven't tried it again since.

fyi..In Atlanta's case, they were delayed getting their flight out of New York after the game. Then they had to go through customs entering Canada.

Most teams playing extra inning games won't have those problems.

I think the game you are referring to was when Toronto played the Yanks and lost in 18 innnings. The next night (Friday) the Jays were in KC and won that game, even though it was thought they were very weary. They ended up losing on Saturday night instead.

It makes me think that the old "it hits you two days later" theory applies to sports as well.

Just my two cents...
