Present and accounted for!

I had teachers in elementary school try to make me write with my right hand. Not happening.
It was awesome when the notebooks started being made with the wire on the right side instead of the left.
Didn?t improve my handwriting however....

Day 1 First Grade teacher puts the pencil in my right hand.

Day 2 my Grandmother in the class in morning. "He is a Lefty."

I broke a lot of wind up toys. Wrote upside down...and hated school desks for a long time....But got the end of the dinner table early in life and still do..and at the bowling alley..yoooooo.....

Wouldn't be right-handed if I could have been.

My son is a lefty too so you know who sits next to who when we are out for dinner..
A round dinner table at home solves that problem
I catch so much shit at the lanes, too

?You?re the only lefty on the pair, it?s easy for you!?
My reply is always ?my average is over 200 and if it was easy why isn?t Bill three pairs down averaging the same??

Thank you Mrs. Sperry,
Think she has passed away but she was my son's 3rd grade teacher...my son is a lefty...was at a disadvantage in school because of being a lefty...desk were all geared for right handed students...he was taught to write up side down ....until Mrs Sperry taught cursive writing..she worked with my son and taught him to correctly to write cursive regardless of what was his dominate hand...he got away from writing upside down regardless of the " right handed desks"...my son said she was the only person in elementary school who helped natural lefties...you see... Mrs Sperry was left handed....its to bad she has passed away and doesn't really know how much she was appreciated...when I became a principal I made sure every high school room had at least 2 desks geared towards lefties....I also remember some teachers with 25 students would call down complaining to the office and saying they have to many left handed desks and need to replace one of them..you can't have a right handed kid sitting in a left handed desk.. but there was no problem.. I would call my head custodian and he would make the switch...but looking back..its pretty funny you can't have the opposite take place...when visiting San Francisco on the wharf years ago there was a store " the left handed store"...think I bought my son $50 of left handed things like scissors, notebooks, etc.

anyway thank you Mrs Sperry...you did have an impact on my son...

I remember being in college and going to a girlfriend's house for Thanksgiving dinner. Conversation got around to left and right handed people. Her brother was a couple years younger and a real WISE ASS. Always had to crack jokes during any conversation. Well, I included myself into the conversation by saying I did most things right handed but oddly enough activities I started to perform past early adolescents without parents noticing or adult supervision like shot pool, use scissors, play ping pong, or shoot a bow / gun I did LEFT handed. This smartass 15 year old brother chirps in and says "WHICH HAND DO YOU MASTURBATE WITH?"......Apparently, YOUR SISTER"S wasn't the right answer :nono:

My basketball coach in HS used to always yell at me "make up your damn mind what hand you want to use!"

I'm a bit out there, ambidextrous.

Write left-handed, cannot write right-handed
Throw a baseball left-handed, cannot throw right-handed
*but can do both with a basketball
Bat switch hitter
Kick with both feet equally
Can shoot a basketball with both hands

I really don't know why I can do some things equally and not other things, but I've never been normal :mj07:
