time to update my fortis thread. this stock trades on Toronto, note there is a forits (european bank in the US).

this is the utility, power in newfoundland, and supply heat (gas/utility) in BC, also they manage hotels. this was selected in 2009, just to show some stocks though boring can do well, and hold up reasonably well.

the div has been raised in 2010, 2011, 2012, and now no longer sits at 1.09 but 1.24, think of this as a volatile bond (sometimes) that keeps on increasing your payout.

would rate the stock a hold here, but have it as a long term holding and will probably have it much longer....decades holding now....
