Minnesota on third downs
Minnesota is tied with USC for the nation’s best third down conversion percentage converting 54% of the time. In the last two weeks, the Gophers converted 14 of 17 chances against Michigan State and seven of 12 against Indiana. They face Iowa this week, who’s 104th in the nation in third down defense allowing teams to convert 44.6% of their tries.
