I like them here at +165. That's simply too steep for a team who has won as many games as Iowa with a QB who can make a lot happen, a good 'D', and a winning persona.

They've shown an ability to come back from behind and an ability to shut a team down when ahead.

They've given up 10 or less, 5 times, and that was against some pretty decent offenses.

I liked it the second it came out and the big-10/pac-10 respective performances have really cemented it for me.

I can't say anything negative about USC. They've also shut down some excellent teams (22-0 against the beavs). But, I don't see anything that makes them such a large favorite here.

In what I see as basically a 50/50 matchup, give me the good odds.

just to address the "lay-off" factor.

if you can really convince me that a team who has been off for 7 weeks is that much rustier than a team that has just been off for 4 weeks, then you're a pretty good convincer.

neither lay off is typical for a football team. both amounts of laying off are plenty of time to rest, scheme, study, and forget what it feels like to hit.

I consider it a non-factor.

line's dropping. 4.5 at SIA last I checked.

Let's see how the steam does.

Booo. Sorry for the shitty pick.

I've had a rotten last three days of picking.

One thing you really can't see until they get on the field is overall differences in speed. USC just looked faster.

The first half was really hanging in the balance, and who knows what would have happened without the fumble, or if Iowa was able to punch one in down on the goalline.

Good job to USC containing Banks.

I have OSU +13 tonight for a bit more than anything else, so lets go Buckeyes.
