PUrchased the iPod with video capability. However, I cannot figure out how to download a dvd that I have to the iPod for viewing. Does anyone know how to do this? The Adobe instructions are not clear.

yeah, I got the same problem, I have a 60gb ipod with video capabiities, and can't download video from my harddrive.

For some reason Ipod came with 'fightclub' already loaded, so I know it takes them.

I'm wondering if you have to purchase from I-tunes Music Stores.

I will call customer support

I haven't tried it but it's free, let me know if it works for you:

http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPod/

I downloaded this. Looks like once you click on Icon you need to click on 'set up' tab and decide an "output videos to" file, then click 'convert' tab and then

'transcode new video'

You will then be prompted to browse your windows explorer for file where you saved the movie. Select files you want to convert, I didn't worry about the extras, special features, etc.

then click start

this will take a while to complete, but is self running until the end.

Then open Itunes and click on file tab and "add file to library" and browse to your output file where movie was transcoded to and hold ctrl key down and highlight each file and then click 'open' and
then update Ipod.

This should do it,

The 65th Square
and ...

and ...

not to step on anyone's toes ...

but archos offers a much better product than ipod

archos' problem is that they don't advertise

you can get an archos 420 for about the same price as an ipod video

the beauty of the archos is better battery life and you can record directly from your tv or a dvd player

it even lets you copy regular movies as it strips the macrovision

i have buying archos stuff for several years
