Liberal media continues to pound the parralells of the 2. However they miss where the parralells are.

Viet Nam Will not get into the right or wrong basis but media and liberal coverage is tit for tat.

You read the post here and elsewhere and liberal media on Iraq and we'll go back to Viet Nam for an instant replay.

Protest and raves about our military boys being killed as well as innocent civilians.Constant rants on us losing/lost the wars.

The facts Viet Nam--Gi deaths reached all time high in tet of 68 with over 2,000 casulties a month. Declined to less than 50 a month in last 2 years of fighting (70-71) due to our military tatics had been highly efficient. The nva (North Vietnamese Army) were virtully non existant in the south other than small bands similiar to Viet Cong.

but just whens things were looking good the liberal media kept up their hounding resulting in our withdrawal and then had the nerve to accuse the military of losing the war---but just the tip of the iceberg --in their agenda they wailed about troops dieing and civilians casuties but on the soilders return how did they treat them??Yep their true colors showed with their distain for military-- and civilian deaths--3 times as many civilians were slaughtered as result of our pullout in Viet Nam and Cambodia than during the entire war--and where were these jane Fonda's/liberal press tears then--no where to be found--resulting in proof positive --their only agenda was political.

I could insert Iraq for Viet Nam and you'd get an instant replay today.--and if you don't think they would love nothing more than to say Iraq was a failure--think again.
and they will do all they can to see that it is.Watch em as things get progressively get better and fires are reduced to coals they will pour more media gas on to fire em up again.

Yep you got one side giving life and limbs so the word warriors can continue giving their PC agenda s-and the liberals can smile and claim "we" lost the war in Viet Nam even though they were ulimately responsible for the slaughter of 3 million people.

I cannot stress enough how pathetic it is to blame "liberals" for poor strategy and planning.

Given: Bush and his cronies have a mojority with everything.

So: How the hell can anything regarding Iraq be blamed on liberals?

Please, be specific.

......I'm so close to saying goodbye to this country. I just need a liitle bit more encouragement from the right, and you'll never hear from me again.

On 2nd thought, it's the Liberals fault....for everything. They lost us the Vietnam war. They cost my father his health. They are now costing us Iraq. ....Too bad everyone who voted for Bush is now magically a liberal who refuses to enlist.

Tell me - why aren't more people enlisting? Is everyone under 35 years old a liberal? .....How can we explain the neo-cons who refuse to enter military service? Are they all conveniently pre-disposed to something else? ...Or are they as I suspect ...HYPOCRITE PUSSIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are just folowwing the example of their leaders. Bush was all for Vietnam. He would have made DTB proud. And he would have gone to fight it but being privledged it was his duty to protect the barrooms of Alamama from possible attack. Much like the wealthy today. They are all for this war as long as we don't take their son's and daughters to fight it and as far as the deficits go well....the working class will have to take it on the chin.

Stop your crying Nosigar. Do you ever do anything except cry and whine like a little baby girl. Get your thumb out of your mouth and grow up! If you think Vietnam was a good idea say so, don't hide behind your skirt because quite frankly you don't have the legs for it!. :)

Chit, now we got liberal fairies trying to be macho?

NYT, Newsweek et al report a frigging book supposedly flushed down the toilet and you guys say there's no liberal media when no reports of other crimes of religion are so vastly reported?

You guys think Iraq is Vietnam? Only as long as fairies like you continue to hinder the military's effort and demand a sensitive war.

Smurph, why don't you take the little testosterone you got left and use it against the real enemy, dumbass (or go plant some marigolds).
Code:
"Name a Time and Place".
What the fucq is that, playground talk? Open you frikkin eyes, dummies.

And Stevie, typical liberal always accusing others of exactly the thing you do most. Standing up for something ain't whining.

Gotta go, just hit a trifecta at Belmont park!!

1) Congrats on the Trifecta! Gambling success must take precedence.

2) I never defended Newsweek. You obviously haven't read my other posts.

3) Tell me how I'm hindering the military. Give me one example of me hindering. If anything I'm helping - I'm calling out for all to join - especially for the neo-cons to put their money where there mouth is. I want them to have more money and more troops. The damn neo-cons won't volunteer, thus leaving us short-handed.

It's impossible to get through to people like you. You can't see the mathematics of it all, the strategy (or lack thereof), the reality of hypocrite pussies leaving us short-handed.

If you continue to challenge me, I will continue to leave you an open invitation. You started the playground garbage. ...I guess that's a typical neo-con / start something, and then mock those who respond and call out your hypocritical nonsense.

(congrats on the trifecta though :) )

As for myself I have posted in other threads that I don't care if we piss on their "holy" books. It was your President Bush who seemed to be quite upset by it. If it is a PC being fought then it is the fault of the guys running it not the fault of the guys against it. So if, like me, you don't think this war is being fought right have the "sack" to say so. To get the record straight I do not think we should have attacked Iraq who was not a threat to us. But once we did attack I think we should fight to win. And that does not mean putting a bullseye on our soldiers backs. We have the greatest military weapons in the history of the world. It is my opinion that if we are in a war we should use those weapons and not be forced into a war on the enimies terms. Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolf and the rest of the chicken hawk neocons who are behind this disaster owe it to the troops to at least have the "sack" to either fight to win or declare victory and get out. Maybe one of you macho conservatives can point out where Bush said we were invading to bring democracy to Iraq before we attacked.

So, let me get this straight. If someone (read Bush supporter, neo con, etc) supports the war, they should enlist. I believe I read that somewhere in this thread twice.

Does that mean if you are a liberal you should donate even more of your time and money to any number of causes (homeless, illlegal aliens, poor, etc.)? Are you supposed to invite some homeless to move in with you? Take a family of illegals to the hospital and pick up the tab? Share your income with an underprivileged minority family so they have a fair chance?

Smurphy and Stevie...Just wondering..Have either one of you served in the military or are you just one of those people that sits around bitching about things that you dont agree with?

You ask others to join the military because of what they believe in but I dont see you stepping up to the plate.

You two act like the prom queen after prom night..your pussy is sore you cant figure out why. But it must be someone elses fault.

Here is the question to you Bubba. If you can't answer my question why do yoy resort to a personal attack? Have I served in the military, no. I was lucky enough to fail my physical for Vietnam because of a neck injury I had recieved. Now, lets get back to the question I asked. Can you come up with a quote from Bush where he says he is invading Iraq for the purpose of implanting democracy there prior to our invading? Once again we see the neocon way of arguing. Bubba has no facts so he goes on a personal attack. Bubs, I will give you another chance, maybe you can show me where that little conflict in Southeast Asia was a good idea. Come on boy, there are two wars you are in favor of, a big strong guy like you should at least be able to come up with a quote to prove one of them was right?

god bless the troops. god bless my father and uncle for serving in nam - 3 tours between the 2 of em. no big deal, uncle dead from alcoholism that started there. whatever. as long as he died protecting the hypocrite pussies, that's what's important. dad ...well, agent orange or whatever shit was going on gave him the kind of arthritis that makes your fingers and feet grow sideways. that's cool i guess. too bad he wasn't important - then maybe he'd a been able to serve in alabama instead of the sh1t.

wha am i wasting the keyboard on this?:

dubya forever! stay the course, 1000 points of light. axis of evil, freedom on the march. ....whatever works - good luck with all that,

....by the way ---- there is reality to deal with at some point. ...maybe after everybody sobers up from their 9-11 hangover. should a happened right aroung the 1500th death in Iraq. that's prolly when we shoulda woke up and said .."WTF does this have to with anything?"

memo to the neocons: numer of 9-11 attackers from iraq was ZERO. ....number of saudis = 19. ....yet our brilliant leader was holding hands with prince abdullah in the flower garden.

SO: anyone - please - just rationalize the big picture for me...please ....i mean, i got no male role models to work from. they were all lied to back in the day and are dead or incapacitated. i gotta make it up as i go along.

tell me one thing that makes sense and maybe i'll have a different view......just 1 thing.......................

Bush may be dangerous (I believe he is) but his constant butchering of the English language is not of concern to me. I think it is an indication that he speaks from the hip and doesn't or won't rely on his spokesholes befores he utters a word or frames an opinion.

Ferd, I disagree. Bush is not speaking from the hip. That is why he has so much trouble speaking. He is trying to remember they key points and words the pupet masters told him to speak.

"the bunker"
smurph takes it to the mat....you go smurph...

seriously...i have to say that that`s a dangerous precedent to set in a political discussion forum..

might be smart to lay off the duel stuff....somebody could get hurt...

and besides, the chances of getting someone to take a plane somewhere to throw down are slim and none...

and if you just happen to pluck the wrong guy`s nerve....well...there are people on the net that aren`t all there..

i`m sure nosigar meant that figuratively.....you`re both good guys.....i`ve seen much worse from haskell and others...bringing guy`s wives and mothers into the fray...

now,i love wr...that may be the exception to the rule......lol

smurph...don`t take it personally,bub...

carry on,gents...
