to answer your question--
I'll wager highest % of voters per wages for O to be in (under $15,000) bracket--in CNN 2008 exit poll

any takers--I didn't think so--end of story

we can expect a very liberal administration - for good or bad, either the country will move to the far left, or realize that they made a mistake and move to the middle - should be a wake-up call to the ultra-conservatives, who are out of touch with
mainstream America

McCain may have voted 90% with Bush, but he is not a darling of the consevatives at all

Good question Bryanz.....but I would have to say NO, just from the fact that Bush was elected or PUT IN OFFICE for 2 terms and for the fact that McCain was the republican canidate instead of Ron Paul....America(ns) is/are full of hate and love America the way it is, divided and at the bottom of the chain when it comes to overall advancement anymore. Guess what fellas---all that money your are squirrling away has no meaning if America doesnt move in another direction.....it can be used as toilet paper if we keep going down this path. And from the answers in this thread Americans would rather have a hot headed racist(ooops calling someone a guke isnt a racial remark because he was "tortured" by them) and his pill popping thief for a wife in the whitehouse rather then 2 people who actuallly can hold a intelligent conversation

Its really going to be a long long 8 years for you.

Actually if he wins it will be an interesting 4 or 8 years in my view.

In fact I will start him off with clean slate as--

--He won't be able to vote present--straddle the fence--go extreme left when running in primary and turn 180 degrees when trying to get moderate vote in general election.
I see Pelosi has gave 100% promise he will win--but then again she promised lower gas prices/ stronger economy if they got majority in 06 ;)

Will be interesting see how he handles an executive position for 1st time in his life--if he wins.
--or as many close to him claim (Michele wears pants in family) how they handle position.

I would guess Jan. 21 DTB will be asking why we are still in Iraq?

its an awesome election if you are a moderate. you are going to win either way. you either get a far leftie (no thanks) or a moderate. at least we don't get a conservative.

How would it be awesome if you're a moderate and a far left pres is elected with a congress lead by far left leaders?

The far right will come back strong with Obama/Reid/Pelosi running the country. The Dems would lose big in the mid-terms and in 4 years we'd see a conservative with a real chance to win - Carter vs Reagan comes to mind. The democrats would have a stronger hold if they kept congress under their control and had a moderate/centrist Rep president. They would still have real power, yet be able to deflect the blame for the economy, etc in 4 years by blaming the president. That type of balance would also serve the american people much better than a wild swing to the narrow interests of the left or right.

An Obama win is only good for the extremists on both sides - left short term, right long term. A McCain win is good for moderates (and of course, Hillary).

he has too many advisors, way too indecisive, wasnt the georgia /russia conflict decision enough?

and how can we elect a president who thinks we have 57 states??
